Tree Trimmings

One of my favorite Christmas traditions is trimming the tree. It's so much fun pulling out all of the ornaments that you've collected over the years. Last year, I ordered some custom ornaments from The Dahl House as gifts. I was very happy with the way they turned out.

Celebrating Thanksgiving

It was a snow covered Thanksgiving.

The hounds were having too much fun.

It was cold, but it wasn't too cold for bloody marys.

A festive tailgate

Thanks for breakfast Mrs. P

We hosted dinner and JCW deep fried the turkey...

...it couldn't have turned out any better.

Happy Thanksgiving

Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had even more to be grateful for this year; after JCW took a trip to the ER on Wednesday. Thanks to everyone for all the love and support.

Quilted

Luckily, I'm still able to fit into a Barbour jacket but it's just a matter of time before it becomes too snug. While I was looking for a wrap coat, I came across these adorable quilted jackets. I just love the trim and colors but unfortunately don't think this is will do the trick this particular winter.

Cookie Dough Cafe

I had seen a few people post pictures of cookie dough from The Cookie Dough Cafe so I picked up a pack of the individual cups. The beauty of this cookie dough is that it's intended to be eaten uncooked and there is no raw egg.

The pints come in a variety of flavors besides chocolate chip (my favorite) but I'm not sure that I can be trusted with a container that large.

I love the idea of plain cookie dough because you have the option to add your favorite mix-ins.

Wye River Wedding

Over Labor Day weekend we stayed at the Marriott in Queenstown on the Wye River for a wedding.

The grounds were lovely and the ceremony site looked like it was out of a storybook.

Each table was named after a local body of water.

There were lots of Maryland items on the menu like crab cakes and Smith Island Cake.

It was such a fun weekend spent with friends...here's to the bride and groom who will be fishing partners for life! xx
