Golden West Cafe

Golden West Cafe is an eclectic restaurant and bar filled with edgy artwork. The menu consists of local ingredients with a southwestern flare and offers a large variety of vegetarian and vegan options.

The menus were created by laminating childhood story time favorites.

We started out with a Fritto Pie.

I had an apple, brie, and pesto sandwich with a side of tater tots.

The walls of the ladies room was covered with record album covers.

York Peppermint Patties (one of my personal favorites) came with our check. Why don't more restaurants serve Yorks with the check?

  6. Try a Mahi Mahi fish soft taco next time you do Mexican, a healthier choice! Cheese and tater tots well... way to much saturated fats! Don't mean to preach, but you'll thank me in the long haul.

  8. What a fun place! And anyplace that ends the meal with Yorks is a must-see. Looks similar to a place we have here, Lynn's Paradise Cafe.

  9. The sandwich was great...the brie was melted and pesto was the perfect condiment!

  10. I think the chocolate chip cookies are Otterbein's. Very good but I still prefer the Berger cookies!

  11. The Yorks definitely are a substantial improvement over the Starlight mints that most restaurants give! I'm hoping giving away Yorks will become a new trend :)

  15. I think they might be Otterbein's. Are those super flat (with the chips raised?). You have to forgive me because this was 7 years ago! :)

  17. How yummy does that look?! And fun too, hat makes such a big difference when eating out, if the ambience is not relaxing and enjoyable the food does not taste as good.

And you are so right about the York Peppermints, almost no one does that anymore.
