Celebrating JCW's Birthday

The weekend of JCW's birthday we had an incredible dinner at Charleston with his family. Charleston is hands down my favorite restaurant in Baltimore. I wore my Jenn dress by Emma Graham and I was thrilled it still fit after that meal.

We decided to let Chef Wolf plan a five course menu for the table which was influenced by the local ingredients that were in season. Each dish was delectable but the Rich Lobster Soup with Curry will forever make my mouth water.

  1. Love the dress!! It's one of my favorites. Any dress that grows with you as you eat a five course meal is okay in my book.

  2. Moving back to MD in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to try all this place. I did go to The Fresh Market in Hampden and it was delicious!

  5. Wow. I cannot believe Charleston has been open since 1997. It has always been memorable to eat there. I am so glad that they have always done local ingredients for their in-season menu - they really seemed to have led the East Coast on that trend. Although I wish they would do their pairings with more US (Virginia especially) wineries, kind of makes the eat local thing cancel itself out when almost all wine is from France or Italy!

That whole June menu is great. I cannot imagine who actuallly goes in there and orders the 6 courses. Maybe some Baltimore Ravens players??

    LOVE your dress!

  10. Could you be any prettier in pink? I think not. You all look fabulous as always! Love that I was with you that whole day!!! The artichoke heart is still one of my most favorite things at Charleston and is something I'll crave for always. Such a special, special place and glad JCW was treated like the prince he is. xoxo
