Maryland Day commemorates March 25, 1634, which is the day that English settlers landed on Maryland soil.
The settlers sailed the
Ark and the
Dove to
St. Clement's Island on the Potomac River. After a safe voyage they celebrated with a day of thanksgiving.
I love all things
Maryland and have done several posts exhibiting
Maryland's rich traditions.
Oh I wanna come! Looks so fab. xoxo
