Jack's Bistro

We recently had dinner at small neighborhood gem called Jack's Bistro and started with the Chocolate Mac and Cheese.

JCW ordered the 100% Ground Bacon “BLT burger” it contained no beef. He couldn't wait to try the Poutine French Fries which had a demi glace, cheese curds, and foie gras sauce... a.k.a. disco fries.

One would think the burger and fries would have been enough but when he saw there was a duck hot dog topped with foie gras and spicy mustard on the menu his eyes light up.

The Fried S'mores (graham cracker encrusted chocolate marshmallow cookie with chocolate sauce and chocolate cake batter ice cream) were the highlight of my meal.

Special thanks to JCW for never giving me the opportunity to over order and for always being willing to try anything on the menu. Any meal that starts and ends with chocolate is OK by me! xx

  19. I love the BLT burger! My hubby always makes fun of me for having the eating habits of a full grown man. I had to laugh when I saw the burger was JCW's choice!!! I had it the last time we were there :)

We live down the street from Jack's and when we bought our house they sent us a sweet card with a note saying to come in for two free drinks. Love Jack's!!

  20. I think I'm in the minority, but the bacon burger sounds horrible to me. ;-) But your dessert looks fantastic.
Poutine is huge in Canada- you can order it at most movie theatres.

  26. I was at Jack's on Saturday evening since the wife and I had tickets to an event at the Du Burns. This place is a DO NOT MISS!

She ordered the potstickers and the steak from the weekly specials menu.

The potstickers were a flavorful rendition of a common dish. The steak was great! Served medium rare with their seasoned shoestring fries and truffle butter, this was beef euphoria.

I opted for the fried duck tongue from the weekly specials and the poutine from the regular menu. For those who are into unusual foods, duck tongues fit the bill. Crispy and tasty. The poutine was one of the best meals I've had in awhile. Amazing how a little foie gras and demi glace turns a potato into something special.

If you're in Canton and you're hungry, hit up Jack's Bistro for dinner!
