As much as we enjoy living in Baltimore city it's nice to spend the day in the county. One of the best things about Maryland is that rolling hills and pastures are a mere twenty minutes or less from the city.

I grew up riding and horses were a huge part of my life...they will always be dear to my heart.
I wish there was a
Wegmans closer to downtown. We do have some pretty wonderful gourmet grocery stores in the city but nothing the size of Wegmans.
One of the many draws of this grocery store is you can pick up lunch and they have a lot of seating for eating.
There is a view of the entire store from the upstairs tables....while you eat you can watch the unsuspecting shoppers.
I love Wegman's, but hate the trek to Hunt Valley. Luckily, there is one being built up in my neck of the woods (Bel Air). I love the city, but we bought a house in Harford County because I am much more at home in the country :-)
ReplyDeleteI will never get over what a classy couple you two are. Looks like you had a great day.
ReplyDeleteSo great you can escape to the country and spend time with those beautiful horses. I dream of owning one, one day!

I went to Wegmans for the first time this weekend! They just built one closer to me in the MD suburbs of DC. I was really impressed with the variety of food, but it was also a little overwhelming! It might take me awhile to get the hang of shopping there :)
ReplyDeleteLove this! I am the same way... I love the city, but there is nothing like spending the weekend in the country!
ReplyDeleteI have never been to Wegmans however my parents who lived in Rochester for some time lived there and swore it was the best thing ever! They just loved the store and said not only was everything fresh and abundant but the staff and employees are bar none. I will have to discover one myself one day..wish we had one close by.
ReplyDeleteI also rode horses for many years.......hope to one day again soon...
As much as I love living in DC, I hate how there are aren't any large grocery stores. My parents have a Wegmans where they live, and it has everything! The cheese and wine selection is fantastic, and it has the most thoroughly stocked produce dept. of any grocery store I have been in. Buuut I do have a Whole Foods here so I can't complain too much.
ReplyDeleteI miss riding and the horses so much, it's been such a change from living at the barn to never riding at school. And Wegman's is about the greatest thing ever - my dad is from upstate NY and when we visit his family that still lives there, we have to make a Wegman's stop!
ReplyDeleteLove the pic of you and JCW! I always love visits to the country, and hope I look half as chic as you do when I do venture out of the city. ;)
ReplyDeleteI miss my Wegmans in Virginia so much!
ReplyDeleteLOVE YOUR BLOG!!! Soooo glad I found it! Let the blog stalking begin ;) - Katie
ReplyDeleteWe love Wegmans too. I get in a LOT of trouble in the Caspari paper plate/napkin section. They have the best "paper" entertaining treats! Agree with James, you all are such a class act!
ReplyDeleteLove Hunt and Greenspring Valleys...XXOO
ReplyDeleteYou and your mister are so adorable. I'm drooling over your fabulous outfit. LOVE the boots.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful countryside. So peaceful.
Okay, I've never heard of Wegmans (probably because I'm from the north) let alone crab chips. What are those? They look divine!
Love your outfits!! Y'all are both so stylish.
ReplyDeleteI grew up/my parents live right by that Wegman's in HV! It is such a delight. The pretzel rolls are a-mazing (and you should try one if you haven't yet!).
ReplyDeletePeople watching is one of my favorite guilty pleasures.
ReplyDeleteDying for a Wegmans and I love the horse life!

I LOVE Wegmans!!
ReplyDeleteoh it's so pretty. I often dream of moving out of LA and into the quiet country ...somewhere over the rainbow :)
ReplyDeleteI miss my crab chips, I used to eat them everyday for lunch. And Wegman's! I was in that store every week! I hope they still have those incredible pizzas and sandwiches. I have to admit it's tough being an east coast soul in the southwest.
