Rain Date

Last night we went to see Mumford & Sons at Merriweather Post Pavilion and the weather certainly wasn't merry! Minutes after we sat down the rains came.

We ended up huddling under a narrow bathroom portico until the torrential downpour stopped. I had never been in caught in such a violent strom before. The scariest part was seeing the lightning strike so close to were we were standing and not really having any place to retreat.

JCW & EAS

After weathering the storm it was time to ring out my clothes and listen some music.

Have you ever been caught in a severe thunderstorm? Remember to cast your vote in the "Lilly Lovers" contest and have a great weekend. xx

  2. You pull off the soaking wet look well! Two summers ago friends and I got caught in a downpour at a Brad Paisley concert!

  3. funny you should ask :) My husband and I went with a big group Kayaking on Sunday and got caught in a huge thunderstorm mid way through the paddle... so we just had to keep going and get rained on. :)

  4. Would you mind writing a post about your thoughts on how you like men to dress, Ms. EAS? I't looks like Mr. JCW wears a lot of Vineyard Vines shirts.

  5. Ditto to S&S's comment. Still stunning soaked...and such good sports. Never caught outside but we heard the crack of thunder and lightening that struck the old stone church in Hampden a few years ago that burned the whole roof. It was so sad to see it burn and not have any way of saving it. Glad you all were safe.

  7. Yikes! Even sopping wet you both look lovely. Did you at least get to hear them play?

I was watching a lacrosse game in high school when a severe storm came out of nowhere. Tragically, lightning struck a tree several people were standing under and one boy was killed. Fortunately my friends and I were able to run to the gym for cover just after the rain started. It was absolutely heartbreaking and something I'll never forget.
