I ordered a Stonewall cocktail which was Gosling’s Rum, Apple Juice, and Fever Tree Ginger Beer. When I saw a Dark 'N' Stormy with an apple juice twist on the menu I had to try it.
I started with the Cherry Glen Farm Goat Cheese Ravioli. A unique part of the presentation was the basil air that resembled sea foam. Texture was such a huge part of all the dishes at Volt.
Between my Casarecci Pasta and Lamb course I walked outside to take a peak at the garden and terrace. There was a smoker going on the back porch preparing food for an upcoming event.
I peered in the kitchen to see the masters at work in addition to checking out Table 21. Between each course we were offered assorted breads by servers whom were all wearing chucks and working together like a impeccable machine.
My dessert was Peanut Salted Popcorn, Chocolate Sorbet, Bananas, and Coriander Caramel.
They gave us candies to take home as well as pastries for the next morning. Volt goes out of it's way to create a unique dining experience that's full of pleasant surprises along the way.
This video really gives you a feel of the restaurant and a chance to see the culinary artists at work.
This was one of the best meals I have ever had, the food and service were suburb. I highly recommend dining at Volt...let me know if you go!

ReplyDeleteErin!! I wish I knew you were going to be there that night! My little sister has been working with Chef Bryan at VOLT for the last year and is now one of the two fish chefs. VOLT is amazing and a truly exquisite culinary experience! We simply must go together one of these days, I am dying to eat at Table 21!! :) Sooo glad you had such a great time!! xoxo

ReplyDeleteI went to VOLT in November and sat at Table 21 for the 21 course dinner. It was amazing! I liked some dishes more than others, which is unavoidable with so many courses but it was truly a memorable and delicious meal.
ReplyDeleteAlso I think Bryan Voltaggio was runner-up on the 6th Season of Top Chef. I'm pretty sure his brother, Michael, was the chef that took home top honors that season.

ReplyDeleteWe visited volt earlier this spring, and enjoyed it thoroughly. We have been on the list for Table 21 for quite sometime now (the one time they called my other half was out of town.. but that is a different story.) I too ordered the Goat Cheese Ravioli, and was shocked that it was black, but found it very tasty. Also, I thoroughly enjoyed the pastries the next morning with my kids. The pastries the next day was an extra special thought as it was a sweet reminder of the wonderful night we JUST had at VOLT.
That looks like such a cool restaurant--I love going places that offer an "experience" along with the food and this certainly seems to be one of those restaurants! Have a great weekend!
