I managed to score a seat on the aisle...better for paparazzing.
JCW during the graduation march.
Fortunately his graduation took place on the lawn. It was the last ceremony that day to be outdoors because the rain was on it's way.
The ceremony turned out to be pretty painless but I brought the Peg Game to keep myself occupied...just in case.
EAS & JCW
After graduation he had one thing on his mind...food. He took us to Jetties which was a usual stop for his Lunch Club. Starting Lunch Club was JCW's greatest accomplishment while at Georgetown. In essence the club was a group of people that went to different restaurants for lunch every week.
"Jetties is a Nantucket style sandwich, salad, soup, and of course ice cream beach shack"
Tom Nevers: Carved turkey, ham, bacon, lettuce tomato and mayo on triple-decker toasted sourdough
Nobadeer: Carved turkey and stuffing with cranberry sauce and mayonnaise on sourdough
This sandwich is seriously better then Thanksgiving!
Congrats JCW!! What are the plans now? Hoya Saxa!!

ReplyDeleteCan you imagine how horrible whoever was in charge of the graduation materials must've felt when that mistake was found?! Congrats to JCW, and I'm so glad you had a great time. That sandwich looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteI think it takes a looong time to grow out of DC roadrage after braving the beltway often. ;)
Those sandwiches look delicious! One of my favorite places in Cville sells delicious sandwiches all named after parts of Cville, too!
ReplyDeleteI remember reading this punctual mishap in the Atlantic Wire and even then thought it to be a hilarity of epic proportions. Send my congrats to that well accomplished old sport or yours.
