Celebrating Christmas

 On Christmas morning we headed out to my Aunt's farm for breakfast.

 Eggs Benedict

 We came prepared to hit the fields.

It was an entertaining Gator ride between the two dogs...there were lots of kisses and wagging tails.



I am going to need lots of practice in order to convince JCW I need my own shotgun.

We tried out JCW's grandfather's 22 caliber and it was a lot of fun to shoot.


After a quick shoe change we headed home.

Once again BLS out did herself with another beautiful tablescape.

 For dinner JCW made Beef Burgundy with Gruyere Mashed Potatoes.

After dinner we opened gifts.

Special thanks to Aunt S & Uncle G for a wonderful breakfast and free rein over the Gator...we always have a blast on your farm! xx

    Love the bed of the Gator lined with the Oriental rug!! Would expect nothing less.

    Hope you and JCW had a great holiday. Impressed with his cooking chops. That meal looked awesome!

    Have him take you out to Loch Raven Trap on Dulaney Valley Rd. Great place to practice breaking clays. And then you can go over to Peerce's for drinks!

    What a fun and fabulous Christmas you and your family had! For our first Christmas together, I gave Dave a .22 rifle. I think it was then he knew I was a keeper. :-0 Christmas crackers have been a tradition in our family since I was a little girl. Every year, my sister, mother and I pose for a picture with our crowns. Have a very happy new year!

    Such a gorgeous table! I'm dying to get a girls gun club together. My mother was the sharp shooter in camp and we used to shoot skeet over Lake Michigan. We MUST!!!

    Looks like a great time on the farm! What jeans do you have on? They fit so well under your wellies. Even my skinny ones are always 'poofing' out a little at the knee... Have a great New Year!

    Thanks for all of the sweet comments! My jeans/skinnies are more like jeggings from AG. Their jeans fit me well and I always wash them inside out to help with fading! xx

    I'm becoming mildly obsessed with your mom's tablescapes! Can you find out where those plates and tortoise glasses are from? I've been trying to class up our Thanksgiving table and always end up stuck on orange and green!
    Oh and not to gush or anything, but your mom needs her own interior decorating style blog!!!!

    Omg, WE had gruyere mashed potatoes at Christmas dinz too and they looked exactly like that! Actually, they were gruyere and mozzarella and, per my father, apparently très French in that soupy consistancy...XXOO

    I did ask my mom and the plates are from an antique show...she is obsessed with them! She got the tortoise glasses at NM, years ago. Thank you for your kind words...I have told her she needs to start a blog, even if she only posts a few times a month! xx
