Last month we went to La Jolla for E&E's wedding. When we checked into the hotel this welcome bag was waiting. It was filled with chocolate, wine and sunscreen.
We arrived a couple days before the wedding so we could take in the sights and some meals. We had heard great things about George's at the Cove and couldn't wait to try it.
The sunset view did not disappoint...
...either did the food. We both started out with George's Famous Soup which was Smoked Chicken, Broccoli and Black Beans. I now know why it's called George's Famous Soup, it was amazing. After the soup, we shared a bunch of appetizers like the Grilled Local Octopus.
We walked around downtown La Jolla after dinner.
The next morning we were up bright and early and so were the sea lions.
Coast Toast was on JCW's agenda so we headed to Brockton Villa.
We spent the day in San Diego and checked out the Maritime Museum but we were much more interested in touring Luna.
I love La Jolla...such a beautiful place to visit!

ReplyDeleteLa Jolla is one of my favorite places. I like to go to a hotel there called La Valencia to watch the sunset and have a drink. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous pictures of La Jolla.

We loved La Jolla! Georges was great, and a highlight of the visit was having Robin Williams open the door for me at Starbuck's!
ReplyDeleteGeorge's is a fave of mine too. Whenever people come & visit in Coronado we take them to lunch at George's then walk it off either shopping or watching the seals! :) xoxo
