Columbus Day Weekend

We traveled to Boston for the weekend to visit some dear friends who just relocated.

We ventured to Woodman's in Essex on a rainy afternoon for lunch.

JCW was in heaven with all the delicious fried food and he may have even added the Woodman's cookbook to his wish list.

We had some great meals from No. 9 and Oleana but my favorite stop was Toscanini’s for ice cream.

After the rain stopped, the weather was beautiful so we did a little sightseeing at the Longfellow House.

Special thanks to the Talented Gallery Director and Sam's Good Meats for a wonderful weekend. Your new house looks great! It was also such a joy meeting MBW's new baby, Conner. xx

  1. Reading before my coffee -- I missed the first line about you being in Boston and got incredibly excited that there might be some incredible seafood restaurant in Essex, Maryland. Pretty funny mistake if you think about it. I should certainly have known better.

  2. Ha-ha that's too funny about the Essex mix up! Whenever I think of restaurants in Essex, I think of Chaps BBQ in the parking lot of that strip club. I’m not entirely sure if it's even in Essex but that’s the first thing that comes to mind! xx

  3. I'm with JCW; only thing better than fried clam strips are fried clam bellies. Annnd...I may, or may not, have been known to empty out a fried shrimp buffet bin or two at the C'ville Golden Corral on occassion ;) XXOO

  4. Chubby Woodman invented the fried clam there a hundred years ago!

This useless trivia brought to you by a north shore girl who eats too many fried clammies....

  5. JCW has a great instagram feed! Except when I'm starving. Then it's torture.
