This needlepoint pillow was a wedding gift to a friend in Boston. It's the newlywed’s new monogram inset in a pillow made out of the material from a bridesmaid dress. This is such a thoughtful and unique gift idea.
This needlepoint project was to commemorate CFC living in Baltimore for five years. I just love the monogrammed crab!
MBW's mother-in-law made her this impeccable ring bearer pillow for her wedding day.
I feel inspired to start the belt I designed for JCW. The motif is pigs smoking cigars. I wanted him to be able to proudly display his love for BBQ and cigars. I certianly have my work cut out for me.
Special thanks to Catherine from Connecticut for sharing her original needlepoints (new monogram, and crab) and Mrs. W for a beautiful pillow sure to brighten any bride's day! xx
presh is absolutely right- I want to get into needlepointing- how hard was it to get started and what would be a good project to start out on?!

ReplyDeleteI saw Smathers and Branson is offering free monogramming on belts, flasks, and wallets....I wish it was key chains!

ReplyDeleteI think the snowy winter here will be a good time for me to hibernate and finally finish my current projects- the nantucket pillow...and brick :)
I love needlepoint and have designed many of the needlepoint designs for J.McLaughlin belts. You can see them on-line. I paint my own canvas too and love creating them!
ReplyDeleteDo you work basketweave or continental stitch?

I love the belts from J.McLaughlin. I have a friend that works there and just visited their stand at a horse race. I adore your work, you are so very talented! I use continental stitch. xx
