Race Week Delivery

I told JCW I would take the sail boat to Annapolis for Race Week with him. I agreed to help deliver the boat before hurricane Earl had even existed. There were warnings not to go out on the Bay but I knew I had given JCW my word so there was no backing out. I came prepared with rain gear and dramamine but was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be a beautiful day. There were barely any boats in sight because of Earl.

Homemade shrimp salad sandwiches...courtesy of BLS.

Southsides

Of course we had crab chips.

Watermelon and mint...so refreshing.

Sandy Point Lighthouse

The Bay Bridge

There was hardly any traffic on the bridge for a Labor Day weekend.

We anchored so JCW could take a quick swim.

SAS & BLS met us at the Marina.

We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day on the Chesapeake Bay.

Docking was a breeze.

JCW & EAS

We headed to Boatyard for a bite.

I just love all of the nautical decor in the restaurant.

Most of our meals end with something sweet...so we stopped at Kilwin's.

It always smells divine between the waffle cone mixture being poured, the fresh fudge and homemade candy confections.

Special thanks to my mom for packing us the most incredible lunch of sandwiches, artichokes, potato salad, sweet tea, and brownies...much to everyone's relief it was not our last meal.

  1. Gorgeous pictures. I am packing up my office and sending them to the Annapolis Boat Show this weekend. Now I am demanding they return to Charleston with crab chips!

  11. The top is from Boden...I always find their clothing to be cut a little small so I size up! xx
