Prep Neck

I gave my sister a L.L.Bean camo tote for her Birthday and in true EAS fashion had to order one for myself. We took the bags to the fabulous Star Monograms to have them personalized. Social Primer has posted about the term Prep Neck and Alice and I have toyed with the term Prep Hick. I think these totes may fit the criteria!

This past weekend I had a Prep Neck moment while using my camo tote and wearing my Varinas. Every chance I get I have been reaching for my camo tote and leaving my Goyards to collect dust...my inner Prep Neck is unleashing itself!

You know you are a Prep Neck when your camo belt is needlepoint! What do y'all think constitutes a Prep Neck?

  4. Hilarious term! I have the camo tote myself, although the monograms really up the bags game. I feel like I can't walk into the LL Bean in Freeport without walking out with a tote and Bean Boots!

  5. Too funny! In college, I'd have to say that the country boys who wore Red Wing boots with their khakis, needlepoint belts and button downs may have been Prep Necks.

  9. We sportsmen love our camo....I have the Bean totes in camo to carry gear in the duck hunting boat. I posted a while back on being dubbed an "honorary redneck" by some hunting buddies...so I probably am a "Prep-neck"

  11. I laughed out loud when I read the title of your post! Very funny! I think there are a lot of prep necks around me here in the South. Have a great day!

  13. The PINK thread is just the most brilliant part of that tote! You are too cute for words. There is nothing cuter than a big ole ancient Ford Bronco that conjures up my Prep Neck cousins hunting in Memphis, ducks splayed out in the back. :)

  23. love this! would recommend the medium or large for a work tote? also, are the straps long enough to wear over your shoulder? thanks!

  24. I would go with a medium. The straps are short...But I can get it over my shoulder w/o a coat. xx
