JCW's new Polar Bear Cooler...24 pack

Frozen Treats

Listening to songs by The Band...rest in peace Levon Helm.

JCW gives a shout out to Shorty which is now called Jake's as we drive by. If you are looking for delicious smoked meat sandwiches and ambiance is unimportant give it a try.

We are doing polar bear coolers for a groomsman gift! ;) Thanks for turning me onto them a couple years ago! Kevin loves the one I got him back then.

My hubby loves his PB cooler and uses it all the time- for beverages, game birds, almost everything. It totally lives up to the promise of keeping the contents cool for 24 hours. JDD has the 24 can size and has talked about getting the new backpack style so that it's easier for him to take on his motorcycle.

As I type this, Dave is packing it up for our trip to NC this weekend for the Southern Side-by-Side.

Also, speaking of zippy ambiance you have to try Chaps. Just overlook the sketchy neighborhood and adults-only establishments. ;-) And the line- it moves very quickly. It's delish!

We received a Polar Bear cooler with our last name embroidered on it for a wedding gift. That thing is the BEST. We use it so often!

The coolers are going to make the best groomsman gifts! xx

Oh yes Chaps in the parking lot of a strip club...one of JCW's favorites! xx

Great Father's Day idea for my husband. The Virginia Tech one I got him last year doesn't keep beer cold. Thank you!

Until I saw the sign that said "Jake's", I never knew that place even had a name. The first time I ate there I thought the guy was grilling for his co-workers at the engine shop. I will forever refer to the "restaurant" as "Hammond's Small Engines".

And I agree with Jack - some of the best pit beef around!

See you guys at Hunt Cup this weekend?

Ahhh, I love that Pit Beef Place! When I was little we used to take Falls Road all the time to get to Bmore. We used to stop at that little convenience store right there. I think it used to be called Paul Revere's or something? (This was forever ago in the - gasp - 90's/early thousands)

Hey Erin,

Congrats on your engagement! If you love the band you must rent "The Last Waltz"! It was their last concert and Martin Scorese (spelling?) directed it! It is unbelievable! Enjoy!

I spy some LOVELY bangles on your TCBY-grasped wrists!

And loved The Band. Dad, Mom and I spent Sunday afternoon listening to original records from their (Songs from Big Pink, etc.) collection. Always. So. Good.

I cried watching the CBS Sunday Morning tribute to Levon Helm over the weekend. Such an inspiring guy! E has been dying to try Chaps but now we also must try Shorty's/Jake's.

That short post was JAMMED pack with goodies. First of all, how did I miss the original Polar Bear Cooler mention? Father's Day, check...Babe's birthday, checkity check...Shorty's/Jake's and Chaps rec for my foodie parents and sister in Balto whom I've started to forward your restaurant posts to (did I tell you I gave my sister a gc to Woodbury Grill for her bday?). Now, off to Netflix to add The Band rockumentary to my queue. Goood stuff! XXOO

ps...tried on the the small compatible bangle to our gold cuff recently and I think I just may have to add it to the collection :)

We LOVE “The Last Waltz”...it’s great to turn on when you are cooking! “The Band” was a go-to for JCW’s middle school mixtapes...the kid knew what she was doing! xx

Ah yes, love The Band.

p.s. How annoying is it that we need fleece in late-April? And now monsoon season is upon us. The weather is just too strange in Baltimore this spring.
