East Hampton

We spent an afternoon in East Hampton and it was hard not to notice all the great beach rides.

We saw #HighFunctioningADD, Donald “Drawbertson” Robertson's exhibit at Eric Firestone Gallery. I loved his use of pizza boxes and Whole Foods bags.

JCW & ESW

The Maidstone is one of my favorite spots for cocktails...

...and everyone at the Lilly store is always so helpful and friendly.

Sag Harbor

One of the best parts about being in the Hamptons is exploring the different villages.

Sag Harbor is very low-key and the sunsets on Long Wharf are simply breathtaking.

ESW & JCW

The town is so charming and quaint...

and another great spot is The American Hotel.

Bridgehampton

We spent a glorious week in Bridgehampton with JCW's family.

It was so relaxing to lounge by the pool.

I spent a lot of time beating JCW at backgammon.

This was the perfect spot for cocktail hour.

My niece and nephew are experts when it comes to hunting for monsters.

JCW spent a lot of time beating me at tennis.

Summer always goes by so fast...so it was great to fit in some family time.

Mt. Vernon Club

For work, I packed up some of our Estate Handbags and headed to a shopping bazaar at the Mt. Vernon Club.

Our LV accessories were the hit of the day.

It was fun to see familiar faces like The Quinntessential Gentleman...

and meet some new folks, Muffy Writes a Note.

Katie from Star Monograms looked adorable in her Sail to Sable tunic as we waited for our cars.

Snow Day

I am looking forward to relaxing with a latte and enjoying the snow...

and maybe even doing a little work around the house. When it comes to housework, music always makes me more productive.

Wishing everyone a safe snow storm. xx

Wyclef Jean

I heard Wyclef Jean speak last night. He has a new book out called out called Purpose.

He even performed a little of Gone Till November and 911. He was very funny and totally down to earth.

Do you have a favorite Wyclef Song? Does one of his songs bring you back to a certain moment in time?

Land Rover Tumblr

I am a huge fan of Land Rovers which probably stems from weekends spent off-roading in JCW's mom's Range Rover...unbeknownst to her. It was hard not to notice all of the wonderful off-road vehicles on Martha's Vineyard. We even managed to fit in a little off-roading of our own which brought us right back to high school.

When Land Rover launched their Tumblr site they featured five photographers in five cities with five Land Rover vehicles. Photographer Zack Arias shot his series at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. His collection of photographs were the ones that really spoke to me. I loved the attention to detail along with his use of the landscape.

What a dream come true to drive these beauties and photograph them.

Solstice in the City

This summer The Old Line Society hosted a party at Cylburn Arboretum’s historic civil war era mansion. Proceeds from the event went to help support Cylburn Arboretum Association maintain the gardens and grounds, as well as provide educational programming for the community.

 OLS Committee Members

The grounds and glorious gardens of Cylburn Arboretum are hidden gems in Baltimore City. The association can certainly use all the funding they can get to restore and preserve the mansion.

Woodberry Kitchen provided the food and more importantly the rum punch.

Lawyer Liz partaking in the festivities wearing a Scotland dress by Elizabeth McKay.

Ham and Cheddar Biscuits with Red Pepper Jelly

Bruschetta

Blueberry Crumble

The beer was provided by Flying Dog Brewery.

I kept noticing such great accessories like this Moon and Lola necklace and lots of playful belts...

Custom needlepoint belt

Lilly Pulitzer crab print pants

Guests listened to tunes by The Jody Westerlund Band...

...while sipping wine from Boordy Vineyards on the lawn.

Nelle and I had a wonderful time touring the mansion.

Special thanks to all of our wonderful sponsors! The Old Line Society nearly raised $5000 in proceeds to benefit Cylburn Arboretum Association. Be sure you join The Old Line Society's Facebook page to stay in the loop about future events.
