Beauty Counter

I'm a bit of a hippie when it comes to food, and cleaning products so I was thrilled to discover Beauty Counter for cosmetics.

At Beautycounter, our mission is to get safe products into the hands of everyone.

I love that they have a kids line and I've heard wonderful things about the sunscreen.

Neutral Nails

Samoan Sand

Did You'ear About Van Gogh

Tutti Frutti Tonga

I am on the hunt for the perfect transition shade of polish for fall. I am leaning toward flesh tones and trend to always go with OPI over Essie because I feel like it last longer.

Blush & Bashful

True Love

I never seem to get tired of pink nail polish and half of the fun is reading the different names. Do you have a favorite shade of pink?

To Do List

Eagerly anticipate the Kayce Hughes Spring 2011 line.

Shop Patagonia's sale and look for a new winter hat...

CK Bradley's Apres Pom Pom Hat is also a contender.

Look for new stationary.

Try dry shampoo. I have heard Oscar Blandi's dry shampoo is great for adding volume but I am open to any other suggestions.

Go to Tutti Frutti a self serve frozen yogurt shop that is new to my area.

Pick up a new Rosebud Salve...I am running low.

Pre-order the Lilly Pulitzer Sunglass Strap aka croakies from the Preppy Princess.

What is on your to-do list?

Coral Reef

My pedicure go to is light pink but I couldn't resist trying Coral Reef from Essie.

Special thanks to my mom and sister for being my pedicure buddies last weekend and for letting me in on their Coral Reef discovery...it just may become my shade of the summer!

G.M. Collin

I have tried a few products by G.M. Collin. I have started using the Hydramucine Optimal Cream as my daily moisturizer. This product also comes in a gel, but I prefer the cream during the winter...when my skin is at it's driest. The cream is still light enough that your face feels clean after it's applied.

The Intensive Exfoliating Gel is another one of my favorite products. Most exfoliates I have used are very harsh. This product isn't grainy and leaves my skin feeling radiant as oppose to red and raw.

Diptyque

Diptyque is a French perfume company that was founded in 1961. In 1963 Diptyque began selling candles. They are my favorite candles to burn and display.

The enchanting fragrances of these candles are like no other. There are numerous scents to choose from and the hardest part is deciding which one to buy.

Limited edition Beauty & the Beast Candle Set, Barneys
These labels were designed by illustrators Kuntzel + Deygas. This is a great his and hers gift.

Figuier Vert (Fig Tree), Saks

John Galliano Room Spray, Barneys

Diptyque Muguet (Lily of the Valley) is one of my favorite scents. Not only do Diptyque products smell great but the graphics are clean and simple. I will not buy a candle if I don't find it visually appealing...no matter how much I love the scent. Diptyque candles are very versatile so I never have to worry about them not working in a particular space.

Recent Finds

Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss in Black Honey by Clinique
This lip gloss isn’t too sticky, gives just the right amount of color and a stunning sheen. It’s perfect for a night out on the town and the color is exclusive to Sephora.

Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral SPF45
If you find yourself unexpectedly out in the sun and need to apply SPF in a jiffy this powder is perfect. I can't tell you how many times my mommy says "Oh no I am not wearing any sunscreen". It's fast and easy without the mess of an SPF lotion and can be applied over makeup. This product is also exclusive to Sephora.

Special thanks to newlywed Claire for turning me on to black honey gloss at her bachelorette.

Rosebud Salve

Smith’s Rosebud Salve is my go to lip balm morning, noon, and night. It has a luscious aroma and a smooth feel. Rosebud Perfume Company was founded in 1895 and is located in Woodsboro, Maryland. This Salve is a must have with winter on the way.

My top bathroom drawer.

I have heard good things about the minted rose, but have yet to try it.

Obagi

After trying some of the products from the Obagi Nu-Derm System skin care line these are two of my favorites.

Nu-Derm Foaming Gel
This face wash isn’t too harsh and has a delightfully sweet scent.

The blender cream gets rid of those pesky sunspots and unwanted freckles. This cream is just what the doctor ordered after a summer of sunbathing.
