The Maidstone

On our last night of the bachelorette weekend we went to The Maidstone in East Hampton to have dinner at The Living Room.

The exterior of the hotel was traditional and charming...

...while the interior was very contemporary and whimsical.

The hotel had 19 guest rooms and all of them were designed and named after famous Scandinavians like Astrid Lindgren who wrote Pippi Longstocking.

Before diner we sipped cocktails in the garden.

My Pimms Cup took the award for most fluid ounces. I asked the bartender if the Southside or the Pimms Cup was better and he assured me their Pimms Cup was spectacular.

One of my favorite things about The Maidstone besides my Pimms Cups was that it's the most dog friendly hotel in the Hamptons. Dogs are even welcome in some of the dining rooms. The chefs have created a Woof Menu and have Yappie Hour during the week. I met the owner Jenny Ljungberg's dog Lexington outside and then later saw them enjoying dinner by the bar.

The talented gallery director's fiance had two bottles of Rosé waiting for us when we were seated.

We sampled an array of dishes from the menu. I had the Peas & Carrots Ravioli with Goat Cheese and the Swedish Lamb Meatballs for my main, followed by a Fruit Crisp. If you find yourself in East Hampton I strongly recommend The Maidstone...please scratch Lexington behind the ears for me!

If I would have known I would have popped over to introduce myself and share a Pimms cup with you:) And no I am not a "bachlorette party crasher" haha. 6. Is that a genuine Nantucket basket? One slipped through my fingers over a decade ago after custom designing it and enduring a 3 year wait list. Still in mourning. Btw, if they are make a movie about Kate Spade, your artist friend's a shoe in...XXOO
