For breakfast we went the Lewes Bake Shoppe.
We split a Ooey Gooey and a Sticky Bun... the Ooey Gooey just may be our favorite thing about Lewes.
After breakfast we headed to Cape Henlopen.
The wind was roaring and the views were absolutely magnificent.
The sun was shining but it was still rather chilly.
We had a great time exploring and certainly burned off that Ooey Gooey.

The whitecaps were rolling in.
View from the Hawk Watch...the next stop was where JCW popped the question.
The suspense is killing me! I was scrolling down to see THE picture;)
ReplyDeletePerf. And, now you'll have to find a recipe for the ooey gooey so you can make them a sentimental tradition served on special anniversaries :)
ReplyDeleteDid he take a knee when he popped the question?
ReplyDeleteThe ooey googey looks amazing. And Summer is so right. You will have to always have ooey gooeys as an anniversary treat!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing these and imagining that gorgeous ring burning a hole in J's Barbour pocket!
ReplyDeleteWhat great pictures- I want to go there now!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos to capture a special day!
ReplyDeleteAnd to think the ring is hiding in one of those pockets of the Barbour jacket! Cannot believe he was so cool, calm and able to take a pic of you without shaking too much.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect spot to pop the question! This also makes me long for the beach...
ReplyDeleteI love going to the beach this time of year--a nice cool breeze and barely anyone in sight!
ReplyDeleteI can totally see the better quality in your new camera!!!! Fabulous shots!
