Valentine's Day

On Valentine's Day JCW and I spent the day in Annapolis.

 

We walked down Maryland Avenue which is one of my favorite streets.

I had to pick something up at Star Monograms and Belle taught JCW the baby ropes.

 

We had brunch at a new restaurant called Iron Rooster and are definitely going back.

 

I got a little something for our little one on the way from Wheat.

Before heading out we stopped at Kilwins for some treats.

That evening, friends hosted a Valentine's dinner.

We couldn't have asked for better food or company.

The molten chocolate cake for dessert was the perfect ending to a very sweet day.

Valley Inn Shower

Last weekend I had a happy hour baby shower at The Valley Inn. It was held in the oyster bar which is an intimate space with a cozy fireplace.

 

The talented gallery director made the trek all the way from Boston.

The restaurant has lots of dark wood, exposed stone and equestrian decor.   

The evening consisted of  hors d'oeuvres and plenty of cocktails.

Special thanks to my sister-in-law for hosting and to everyone that attended. I felt so very spoiled and love you all! xx 

  

Wye River Wedding

Over Labor Day weekend we stayed at the Marriott in Queenstown on the Wye River for a wedding.

 

The grounds were lovely and the ceremony site looked like it was out of a storybook.

 

Each table was named after a local body of water.

 

There were lots of Maryland items on the menu like crab cakes and Smith Island Cake.

It was such a fun weekend spent with friends...here's to the bride and groom who will be fishing partners for life! xx

Rodgers' Farms

Last Sunday was absolutely beautiful so we stopped by Rodgers' Farms.
 

The pumpkin patch was still full of pumpkins.

We snapped a few pictures and decided to share the baby news.
 

It was fun seeing all the kiddos enjoying the corn maze and farm animals.

Melinda Farm Wedding

Guests gathered at the historic farm for a five o'clock ceremony.

 

Each bridesmaid selected their own nude dress.

 The ceremony was preformed by the groom's father.

There were so many lovely views of the property.  

 

Cocktail hour was on the lawn and than everyone headed down to the tent.

Chef Expressions did a wonderful job with the food. Dinner was very relaxed with stations and an amazing band that really set the party mood.

Milton Inn Rehearsal

One of JCW's childhood friends got married here in Maryland, the first weekend in June. The weather that weekend was spectacular and it was such a treat to spend time outdoors.

The couple's ceremony and reception was held at Melinda Farm which is right across the street from Sagamore Farm.

 

After rehearsing everyone headed to The Milton Inn for dinner.

They had a cocktail hour on the patio followed by an intimate dinner in the blue room.

Barn Wedding

We attended a beautiful barn wedding in Monkton, Maryland this month.

Clementine was the caterer and did an truly fabulous job! All of the food was delicious and the specialty cocktails were incredible. Guests sipped on Dark n Stormies, Southsides, Basil Lime Elixirs, Red & White Sangria and Booze Bullets.
