Meg Carter Designs

Meg Carter started designing jewelry when her son's hermit crab grew out of his shell and she decided to make it into a necklace. Friends began begging her to make them shell necklaces. Meg launched her jewelry line, Meg Carter Designs in 2003. Her baubles clearly show she has a love for the sea and a passion for making women feel happy. Lilly Pulitzer has even donned Meg's creations.

I arrived home one afternoon and was greeted by a neatly packaged Meg Carter Designs box.

I was thrilled to see these "Big Pearl, little turquoise" studs. I immediately put them on and modeled them for myself in the mirror. I must confess I wore them the entire evening...they made doing laundry and watching television that much more exciting! These earrings look even better in person. I think the "Big Pearl, little salmon" studs are going to be my newest jewelry box edition.

Special thanks to Meg for the beautiful studs and for creating such magnificent ear, neck, and arm candy. xx

SnOasis

This weekend I had my first snowball of the year. Snowballs go hand and hand with Maryland summers and always remind me of childhood. Summer days spent at the pool or stable were always followed by a trip to the snowball stand.

For as long as I have known JCW (since middle school) he has always ordered Old Fashioned Egg Custard. My sister, the snowball connoisseur (she even had her own stand) gets the "Tootsie Pop"concoction, which is chocolate and raspberry. My mom prefers Chocolate Cherry...which is my usual go to. I decided to branch out a went with Strawberry Colada and I would do it again! The key ingredient to a good snowball is shaved ice. We all normally get marshmallow but the snowballs followed a big meal so we opted out. SAS also forced us to get our snowballs in cups one size larger to avoid any spills in her car...she is just as anal as her big sis!

My Mom

My mom is the person I tell everything, my first call when I am upset, my first call when I am happy. She is always there for me, offering support no matter what. She has a loving heart and a great sense of humor. Mom, thanks for being such a special lady and for all of your advise...I love you.

Happy Mother's Day! xx

Art of the Reveal

Jonni Shirt, Lilly Pulitzer

Ombré Cluster Necklace, J.Crew

Calidora Top, CK Bradley

I have been saving these finds for warmer weather. I have never been someone to buy something and wear it right away. I like the anticipation of storing it in my closet for the perfect occasion. During my college days I would gradually work newly purchased pieces into my wardrobe. I never wanted to be the girl that came back from winter break in a head to toe new outfit.

Reunited

I spent the weekend with my dear college friend in Virgina. We had a blast at Gold Cup despite the blazing sun and 90 degree temperatures. JCW had many adventures making his way to Kentucky for a muddy Derby. I was happy he arrived home safe and sound.

Special thanks to JCW for not omitting information from his weekend recap...even if he knew I was going to horrified! xx
