Madison Treasures

PVE had the most beautiful image from Dallas store Madison on her blog a couple weeks ago. After seeing the magnificent image I had to poke around the online store...only to find the most lovely gifts and trinkets.

If I ever make it to Dallas, Madsion is on my To-Do list.

Aftermath

Preakness weekend is always an exhausting weekend. After a full day spent in the sun, drinking Black Eyed Susans we had some much deserved relaxation.

JCW insisted that we wear matching Lilly to Preakness...or maybe it was the other way around?

Ready for Preakness

Saturday, May 15th is the 135th running of the Preakness.

EAS & SAS

Black Eyed Susan's are the official drink of Preakness.

Ingredients:
1oz Vodka
1oz Mount Gay
Eclipse Rum
1/2 oz Cointreau
6 oz Orange Juice
3 oz Pineapple Juice

Combine ingredients, stir, and pour over crushed ice...makes two 12oz glasses.

Louis Vuitton Luggage

Vintage Louis Vuitton trunks are plain spectacular and I am most definitely infatuated.

When a Louis Vuitton piece is placed in a room it's my focal point.

This ‘Encyclopedia Britannica’ trunk c.1925, was turned into a cigar humidor. It can hold 500 cigars...this sure beats JCW's humidor.

I sure would like to sleep next to a nightstand made from Louis Vuitton luggage.

Marc Jacobs designed this Louis Vuitton luggage for The Darjeeling Limited. In case you haven't seen the movie it was just as impressive as the luggage.

With luggage this nice who wants to store it in a closet.

Celebrating Mother's Day

After church we went to Woodberry Kitchen for brunch. They gave all of the Moms lavender plants wrapping in burlap.

I am so very lucky to live in the same city as my Mom...I can't imagine it any other way.

For brunch I had the Crab Shirred Eggs and they where fabulous.

My Mom had the most beautiful selection of flowers for my Grandmother and Great Grandmother's graves.

Prepping for Mother's Day...

My sister and I headed to Land's End.

I had my eye on a new beach towel but we tried to stay focused on finding Mother's Day gifts.

You can never have to many canvas totes.

Bring on the brights.

Lands' End had such a great children's section.

One more stop at Loehmann's where we found Pucci scarves on sale.
