Virginia Gold Cup

In May I went to Gold Cup with my dear friend Crazy K. We have been friends ever since we met at Roanoke.

There were five races throughout the day and I was excited to see some Maryland horses I recognized win.

This was by the far the most unique needlepoint piece I have ever seen...after meeting this character, I was trying to figure out what his needlepoint belt symbolized. I finally asked and he replied " It's everything I don't like...dogs, children and ugly women". I was a little taken back...but to each their own!

Lilly Warehouse Sale 2010

This week was the Lilly Pulitzer Warehouse Sale. We only waited in line for about thirty minutes which was a lot less then the Jubilee Sale.

They had huge pink shopping bags right by the entrance...for schlepping your Lilly loot.

There were boxes and boxes of tote bags.

The McKims were organized and easy to sort through.

The men's sport coats sure caught your eye.

No Lilly sale is complete without spotting the Lilly Jeep.

Special thanks to my Lilly sale partners in crime...things got off to a rough start but all in all it was a successful mission. I can't wait to wear my favorite item of the day, a pink cashmere sweater. xx

This vivid inspiration board is sure to inspire.

There is something so fantastic about looking at other people's closets. The only similarity my closet has with this one is that they both house a coral, J.Crew Elizabeth halter. I have a walk-in but would love to have a dressing room that I could hang out in...with plush ottomans.

Hitting the Road

Today we are heading to the Lilly Pulitzer Warehouse Sale. I have been looking forward to spending the day with my mother and sister. We always have a good time, despite standing in line for an hour and a half.
