Kettle Hill

Last month we were invited to a preview night at one of Baltimore's newest restaurants, Kettle Hill.

The beautiful wood floors and the tufted leather banquettes created a rich and inviting feel.

We made a beeline to the Saddle Bar for drinks before dinner. The copper bar was stunning and I loved the little details like the horseshoe handbag hooks.

Kettle Hill makes their own ice in various shapes and textures which is geared to each cocktail.

To start we sampled a slew of different sides...Andouille Bread Pudding, Fried Green Tomatoes, Oysters, Clams.

They also brought out the Charcuterie Sampler.

I had the lamb burger and the table's favorite was without a doubt the Bison Steak.

I don't know if I was more impressed with the desserts or the wait staff's stylish uniforms.

Not only did I get to try this amazing new restaurant, I also finally got to meet Nelle from Stone Hill Farm. She was so sweet and even surprised us with an engagement toast after dinner.

Mint Julep

It's that time of year again, time for the Kentucky Derby which means the Mint Julep is the drink to drink.

Last weekend this oversized Mint Julep was floating around Hunt Cup.

 The cup was refilled over the course of the day.

Let's just say I may have already had my Mint Julep fill along with the 100 other people that were drinking it.

Did you watch Million Dollar Decorators? It's coming back for a 2nd Season. The show follows LA designers Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Kathryn Ireland, Jeffrey Alan Marks and Mary McDonald. Martyn Lawrence Bullard happens to be my favorite designer on the show. He has such a sassy attitude and a wonderful eye. These were a few of the items from the Tastemaker Tag Sale he curated on One Kings Lane. Next on my to-do list is to find a silver toast rack to hold mail. My mom has had one on her desk for as long as I can remember.
