"The Music Never Stopped"

One of our activities in NYC was going to the Grateful Dead Archive Exhibit.

The exhibition was at the New York Historical Society.

EAS & JCW

My favorite part besides the fan letters were the mail order ticket envelopes. The artwork reminded me of what covered my notebooks in grade school.

The gift shop was filled with memorabilia.

I first found out about the exhibit from Tory Burch. Once I found out Tory was a Grateful Dead fan I decided to come clean...

RFK 1995, Our one and only Dead Show

We had backstage passes.

Don’t let the collared shirts fool you JCW and I have done our fair share of noodle dancing, have a drawer entirely devoted to bootlegs, find ourselves playing name that Dead tune, and will go see a cover band every so often. However, I am not planning on trading in my Revas for Birkenstocks anytime soon.

21 Club and an Orange Box

Last month I turned 29 again and we decided to spend my birthday weekend in NYC. JCW took me to dinner at the 21 Club.

EAS & JCW

The best part of dinner.

The staff at the 21 Club were uber accommodating and even let us take a tour after dinner of all of the private rooms.

I loved all of the equestrian decor and trophies.

The next morning my mom and sister came into the city.

I had Hermes bangles on the birthday brain...

it was a successful trip.

We discovered Lexington Gardens.

The store was packed with blue and white...

and stunning arrangements.

I ate a Gozleme for the first time and it was delicious.

Special thanks to JCW for a lovely dinner, despite making a reservation for the wrong night and for my mama and her generous orange boxed gift. xx

Summer Picking

Steamed crabs covered in Old Bay and a half and half (aka Arnold Palmer).

JCW did some picking in his Jimmy and Sook polo.

I am going to hold on to summer for what little time we have left.

Camo

dixiePatches is located in Jacksonville, Florida and carries Southern-themed charms, headbands, hairbows, dog hankies, bowties, and camo accessories for tailgating. I am not shy when it comes to camo so I was thrilled when I received this coozie in the mail for joining the dixiePatches mailing list. Coozies always come in handy when it comes to tailgating and I got plenty of use out of this one during steeplechase season.

I was in the shoe department at Neimans last weekend and saw someone trying on these camo Tory Burch revas. I stopped dead in my tracks because I would have never thought to try them on but they added just the right amount of edginess to her classic outfit.

Eddie Ross and Jaithan Kochar's home was my most memorable spread in the first issue of Lonny. My favorite image shows Eddie's monogrammed camo tote.

Eddie is always seen using his camo tote for antiquing. I am dying to attend one of his flea market events and see the master at work filling his camo tote.

Nautical Flags

Flag banners and burgees make great decor accents. They look so handsome on display. Create your own own custom nautical flags banner at IB Designs USA. There are some ideas on the website but the possibilities are endless and a fun way to be creative. I think its a great idea to hang a baby's name above their crib, give a friend their initials, or make a fun party banner. Don't forget to use the flag translator to see what your finished banner will look like. What would you turn into a nautical flag banner?
