Mascot Musts

This Vineyard Vines collar is just what Dixie needs when she's out on her new boat pointing seagulls.

Lucy would look darling in this reversible Plaid Puffer and it would match the Goyard Collar she has on her Christmas list.

I can just see Barley rocking this ACK ID Tag while flying Cape Air on his way to Nantucket.

Otho's style is very old school WASP and this Repp Lead would be perfect for a trip to the groomers or the BMW dealership.

Old Bay Extravaganza

Here in Maryland one of our favorite pastimes is picking crabs. Everyone seems to have their own technique for eating crabs and always swears it's the best way. JCW and I have totally different methods. He pulls off all of the legs at the beginning and I leave them on until the very end. We recently headed to Dockside for some picking.

Maryland crabs are covered in Old Bay seasoning. Old Bay has been around for over 70 years and is often used on seafood, corn, fries, chips and eggs...just to name a few.

Onion rings are a great side dish when eating crabs because as delicious as crabs are they aren't very filling.

Another favorite side are hush puppies and fritters.

If you have never picked crabs you know it can be a little dangerous because the moment a shell cuts your hand you are immediately altered when the Old Bay gets in the cut and starts to burn...it's a small price to pay to take part in such a tasty exercise.

Maryland is definitely known for their crabs and Marylanders are accustom to paying fine dining prices to sit at a picnic table, get there finger nails dirty and risk personal injury to pick crabs. As easy as it is to buy a container of jumbo lump crab meat and eat it with a fork it will never come close to picking your own crabs.

We had wonderful crabs at Dockside and it's a lovely atmosphere...crab houses aren't often known for their ambiance. You have the option of sitting outdoors or inside in the AC. I even managed to find a little shopping hon!

We had a wonderful time in East Hampton but no trip would be complete without a fashion find. JCW's ever so stylish sister had several pairs of Trove Tkees flip flops and I was taking fashion notes.

TKEES (t-keys) are referred to as "Cosmetics For Your Feet." They come in over 40 different shades which are categorized by Foundations, Highlighters, Liners, Glosses, Creams, Shadows, and Glosses.

These flips flops are instant leg-lengtheners and a favorite of many celebrities. My McKims better make some room because Tkees are coming to town.

Back to the Beach

 I am heading back to the beach and I can't wait to spend some one-on-one time with the ocean. Be back next week!

Bands in the Sand

This summer we attended the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's fundraiser Bands in the Sand for the second year in a row.

There were some great raffle items including 20 of your own personally designed Vineyard Vines ties.

It was a lovely night to spend on the water and some guests even arrived by boat.

Honest Tea is one of my favorite beverage brands and I am proud that they are a Maryland company. When I saw they had a tent at the party I couldn't help but add their Orange Mango to my Malibu and pineapple.

The bars were fully stocked and the food was from Boatyard Bar and Grill.

The bands kept the crowd happy all night.

Leave it to Mr. W to have had the best looking beach chair at the event. The chair was from Nantucket Beach Chair and was fully equipped with his monogram.

I'll just be a minute

After my Pusser's lunch date with JCW, I couldn't resist running into Star Monograms to drop off yet another tote to be monogrammed. Katie was getting together the most darling bridesmaids gifts for a wedding that weekend.

All the bridesmaids were going to receive monogrammed Tervis Tumblers, silver ball necklaces....

and personalized trays.

I poked around the store for a couple minutes after deciding on the monogram for my new tote. By that point JCW had made his way outside so I had to make it snappy.

I admired the Bosom Buddy Bag display...

and the monogrammed travel accessories.

My finished tote! If I wasn't so matchy matchy I would probably be able to cool it with the totes...but let's face it that will never happen!
