It's a wonderful place to spend a quiet weekend or take a day trip.
St. Michaels was known as "the town that fooled the British" in the War of 1812, after strategically placing lanterns in the trees which cause the British to overshoot and miss the town.
and plenty of sightseeing & shopping to be had.
Jimmy and Sook has a store in St. Michaels and I just love their new custom crab pieces from Smathers & Branson.

Did you visit over last weekend? The weather was spectacular! Loving all your photos! x
My boyfriend & I sailed to St. Michaels a few summers ago for a nice long weekend. Easy to get a slip for the weekend, loved the town & had a great time. That was probably my fave trip on the Chesapeake!
Those Smathers and Branson pieces are adorable! I love the colorful crabs. Have a great weekend!
Looks beautiful! Happy Friday!
Love St. Michaels. The ferry over to Oxford is essential too!
Looks wonderful (and relaxing!)
It has been too long since I went to St. Michaels. One of my best college friends grew up there and one of my favorite things to do is go up for a long weekend and enjoy the countryside as it is so pretty. I'd love to retire there in that scenic quiet area... although winters def can be harsh!!
I'm fortunate enough to live in the St. Michaels area and appreciate every single thing here!
Did you find what you were looking for during your visit?
All the best,
katie
