Queen of Cashmere Giveaway
I am very pleased to announce a monogrammed pillow giveaway from Queen of Cashmere. These pillows are handmade with the finest Scottish cashmere. They are crafted in a mill that has been family owned for forty years. I did a post on Queen of Cashmere products last year...you can find them at Saks.I have always loved personalization. It makes things unique and meaningful. When applied to products at the luxury level, monograms are an American’s version of a coat of arms. -A quote from the queen herself Caron Slimak

Dapper Digs
Maximilian Sinsteden’s dorm room was revealed in the Home Design issue of New York Magazine in May of 2009. At the time he was a senior at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey. Maximilian worked with esteemed designer Charlotte Moss. She said “Max has a gift and a great eye, combined with raw energy and enthusiasm”. When it comes to interiors I am a firm believer against the statement less is more...I just love a filled space.Thursday, January 7, 2010
Blizzard of 09 II
After a snowy evening...I woke up and immediately wanted to go exploring.
There is something so peaceful about the morning after a snow storm. Everything is quieter and seems so tranquil.
I still get excited to make fresh tracks.
After our winter wonderland expedition we decided to get a workout in...the gym was pretty dead.
JCW managed to round up a crew for doubles.
I snapped a pic. of this gingerbread squash court.
We ended the blizzard weekend with some cooking and relaxation. JCW made mac & cheese and his version of Hard Times Cafe's Chili Bubba. Chili Bubba is cornbread covered with chili, melted cheese, and topped off with sour cream.Wednesday, January 6, 2010
Blizzard of 09 I
The snow just kept coming and coming. I had a case of cabin fever so we decided to head out into the elements. Luckily local hot spot Woodberry Kitchen was open for some blizzard business.
After a delicious meal of sustainable food we were handed the desert menu. I will trilled to pieces when I saw the C.M.P. was back on the menu. The C.M.P. consists of chocolate sauce, marshmallow, peanuts, and malt ice cream. It was even featured on the Food Network.
There is a sugar coating you crack to get to the luscious concoction.
It's the perfect mixture of salty and sweet/gooey and crunch. The marshmallow is very light so polishing off the C.M.P. is no problem.
Dixie's dad, JCW, EAS, A&T Special thanks to Woodberry Kitchen for being open in such harsh conditions. It was wonderful to escape the confines of our homes for a delightful dinner. xx

Welcome 2010
Every year I get a pocket planner from Graphic Image. They come in an array of colors and the leather stands up to wear and tear. I decided to go with an Hermes orange for 2010. I may be old fashion but I much prefer a traditional calender to an electronic. I have admired many desk calendars but I love the convenience of being able to scribble myself a reminder from any location.
After starting this blog I have found myself on post-it overload. I knew I had to break this cycle in the new year, so I ordered a notebook from Gallery Leather. I think the navy and orange is a great combo. Here's to an organized 2010! xx
