NM Run
Over the holidays I met Ms. YSL at Neiman Marcus for lunch. We got to catch up, see some of our old co-workers and most importantly have Tortilla Soup.
After lunch we hightailed it to the handbag department. Within minutes Ms. YSL had already found her new bag. Handbags always look more appealing when you weren't the one that unboxed them or carried them down from the stock room.
I had my eyes on a new pair of Louboutins. I have taken exceptional care of my current pairs...are you listening JCW. This may be his first comment ever, I can already see it..."No".

NYC III
After dinner at Commerce it was time for some gifts and Magnolia Bakery cupcakes.
We were Barbour twins that night.
Special thanks to JCW's family for such a splendid time in NYC and the sweet gifts. xx

NYC II
As we strolled down Madison Avenue munching on macarons, I spied the Beretta store and asked JCW if he wanted to go in...call it a peace offering for waiting in line at Ladurée.
He headed straight for the gun rooms upstairs. They were more like gun galleries filled with the most beautiful guns I had ever seen in my life. Such works of art...as I snapped a photo someone said "gun porn" and they were right. This is were the idea of learning how to really shoot and having a girls gun club starting whirling around in my head.
We peaked into the customization shop and they showed me how they could fit a Beretta to be just my size. I told JCW I might be asking for a shotgun next year and he said the chances of him getting a new gun before I got one where a lot greater...way to burst my Beretta bubble!
The entire store was magnificent and filled to the brim with clothing and home accessories.
The decor was very eclectic and certainly not minimalist.
We walked passed the windows at Barneys and Bergdorfs and they were total mob scenes but fun nonetheless.

NYC I
We spent a few days in NYC right before Christmas...it was a whirlwind. We arrived in the city at dusk, checked into the hotel, headed to The Waverly Inn for dinner, met some friends for drinks and woke up bright and early to take JCW's niece and nephew their Christmas gifts.
APK & JCW
After breakfast we went ice skating at The Standard. I hadn't ice skated in years and was just happy that I didn't wipe out.
After ice skating we went to Pearl Oyster Bar for lunch.
JCW's sister recommended the lobster roll and we weren't disappointed.
After lunch we headed uptown to Ladurée for macarons.

JCW was a real trooper about waiting in line so I could pick up some gifts for Aunt S and BLS.
We couldn't resist getting some macarons for ourselves and our favorite was by far the salted caramel. What's your favorite macaron flavor?

Joules
Pheasant Jumper
Wellies
Tweed Vest

Wellies
Tweed Vest

This past weekend I was talking about the possibility of starting a girl's shooting club. My first step would be to order some of the above items from Joules. Joules is a British company that specializes in upbeat countryside clothing and as far as I am concerned could totally improve my shooting.
