Boat and Tote II

I've been using my smaller Camo Tote all winter and think it's time for a change come spring. The leather handles on the Boat and Tote II have me completely sold.

Introduced as the Bean's Ice Carrier way back in 1944, it was billed as a bag of builders' canvas for hauling ice "from car to ice chest." Today you can spot the Boat and Tote® doing heavy lifting everywhere from grocery stores to gardens, from beaches to bedroom closets. After nearly 70 years, it's still the toughest, most versatile tote you can buy, in cotton canvas so sturdy it can stand on its own. Tested to hold up to 500 pounds, it'll carry more than you can carry.

Roku

I am not sure how we survived before getting a Roku. It allows us to stream Netflix and Amazon Instant Video.

We just started the Season 2 of House of Cards, so we've been alternating between that and True Detective. With the snow and freezing temperatures this winter, it's been ideal for staying in and watching television.

Recent Finds

I saw someone wearing these whale slippers from C. Wonder and headed straight to the website to check out the new arrivals.

This makeup bag from Sassanova is a great size to throw in a tote bag and I love the gold monogram.

I needed a hostess gift and these blue & white napkins were calling my name...now I know where I am doing my napkin shopping.

3 Things

Making green juice using my Nutribullet.

I fell off the gluten-free wagon for about two weeks in January. Atwater's Turkey Cran-Brie is what caused the gluten relapse...Oven Roasted Turkey, Brie, Granny Smith Apple, Cranberry Relish, Lettuce & Basil Mayonnaise.

A surprise delivery of white tulips from MBW.

Simon & Kully is a line of beach inspired clothing for women and girls. My sister in-law, along with her friend just launched Simon & Kully's first collection. All of the the tunics are lined and the dresses have pockets. The vibrant blue patterns and crisp whites are at the top of my warm weather list.

Herschel Supply Co.

After receiving an iPad Air for Christmas I was on the hunt for an case, and ending up ordering one from Herschel Supply Co. They have a great collection of canvas Computer and iPad Sleeves. I was immediately sold on the masculine colors and leather details.

Tuckernuck Staples

Tuckernuck continues to be one of my favorite online shopping sites. My Devon Bear ruffle tunic and tortoise clutch quickly became fall/winter staples and are currently representing the rotation. I first saw the clutch at a friend's house. She had it sitting on a table and it was pretty enough to purchase as decor.

I was thrilled to see the founders of Tuckernuck on the cover of Matchbook magazine this month. After reading the article, I can't wait to see what else these stylish ladies have in store for us.

Nell Hills

I have been admiring designs and décor from Nell Hills for quite some time and finally got to visit the Briarcliff location in Kansas City. I had the privilege of meeting the owner Mary Carol Garrity. She couldn't have been more gracious and I became even more enamored with the store. The Briarcliff location is two stories of heaven on earth...

Special thanks to the talent gallery director and her mother-in law for including me on one of their many visits to Nells Hills. xx

Gloverall

I ordered a Blackwatch Cape by Gloverall from Asos. I was very happy with the quality of the cape so I checked out the Gloverall website and began chronicling other coats.

Kansas City

Right after landing in Kansas City we stopped for a BBQ lunch at Jack's Stack.

We spent the weekend with the Talented Gallery Director, her husband (Mr. Pork of Sam's Good Meats) and wonderful in-laws.

After exploring The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, it was off to a delicious dinner at Novel.

The next day, the girls headed to the Antique Mall...

...to hunt for treasurers.

We had a lovely lunch at Café Provence while the boys did a BBQ crawl.

Outside of Gram & Dun after another amazing meal...it looks like JCW may have put on some extra lbs. from all that BBQ.

KC Finds

We spent a chilly weekend in Kansas City and it was such a treat to sleep with a Heated Mattress Pad. The pad even had dual controls so I could crank mine up and JCW could keep his off.

There was an adorable stationary store that carried a line of local candles called Pickwick & Co. I loved the Cognac & Tobacco scent.

I also discovered that OPI makes the perfect color for eating ribs...Mrs. O'leary's Barbeque.
