Holiday Weekend

Over the weekend we spent some time on the water...

watching lacrosse...

 and going to to cookouts.

Monday night we saw The Hangover 2. It was so nice to be indoors after a sweltering day of 90-plus degree temperatures.

I was sad when the weekend came to an end but very excited to wear white pants! What did you all do over the holiday weekend?

In the Mail

I have a surplus of totes but I couldn't resist ordering a new L.L.Bean Boat & Tote for summer.

Joss & Main was having a Tervis Tumbler sale so I picked up these sailboat tumblers.

I ordered my mom the book Portrait of Camelot: A Thousand Days in the Kennedy White House for Mother's Day.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day! xx

Jack and Jackie Party

The Monogram Shop had a Jack and Jackie Party in honor of the Jack Rogers trunk show they were hosting. Lawyer Liz and I channeled Jackie O by wearing large round sunglasses.

Another party favor in addition to the Jackie O sunglasses where pearl necklaces and bracelets.

The bar was fully stocked and complete with "Jackie O's Rose" which was the signature cocktail of the evening.

It was great to see the color options for the monogrammed Jack Rogers in person.

I loved the combination of these colors with the platinum metallic trim.

I am not a rhinestone girl but the embellished navajos where speaking to me.

The shop was filled with gifts for all occasions.

There where plenty of items to have monogrammed and lots of colors to choose from.

There was a huge selection of shoes, clothes, bags, bedding, accessories...

...and the most darling children's clothing.

Grosgrain ribbon...one of my all time favorites.

There where also great gifts for the gents.

These "here's a hint honey" reminder cards where ever so cute and rather clever.

Special thanks to The Monogram Shop for letting us poke around and supplying the tasty sandwiches, cupcakes and cocktails. xx

Spring Flings

These images are from Jamee Gregory's book New York Parties: Private Views which I received for Christmas last year. Jamee Gregory is having a book signing on June 2nd at J.McLaughlin in Westport, CT. I wish I was a little closer!

It was a busy weekend between JCW's business school graduation and Preakness but I am currently accepting any invitations for events that are worthy of Jamee Gregory!

Grateful Prep

Recently I have been noticing some of my favorite brands merging with "the band beyond description". These "Steal Your Face" velvet slippers by Del Toro are the perfect shoe for "dancing in the streets"or at a black tie affair.

When I first saw the "Dancing Bear" needlepoint belts by Smathers & Branson at Yoicks, you would have thought I had seen a "fire on the mountain" I was so taken back.

Lilly Pulitzer even jumped on the Grateful Prep tour bus when they posted a link to "Sugar Magnolia"on their Facebook page not to mention a Cherry Begonias print in their Summer 2011 Collection. Do you have a favorite Grateful Dead song?

The winner of my Sperry Giveaway is Taylor from Southern Girl in the City. Congratulations on your Sperry Top-Sider miracle!

Green Spring Valley Point-to-Point

JAB's ever so chic spread.

EAS & JCW

Riders are up.

One of the final races before returning the Benjamin H. Murray Memorial Trophy.

We were all happy the rain finally let up.

Gearing up for a race.

The Sofia Sparking Minis were very handy...nice selection A! The word is that Sofia Coppola originally designed them to take into the movie theater but they also work perfectly for horse races.

JCW, EAS, A&T

It turned out to be a lovely day despite the chilly temperatures.

Special thanks to JAB² for welcoming us to your elegant box and supplying Mr. F with some much needed whiskey! xx

On a side note...are you planning on watching Oprah's interview with Ralph Lauren today?
