Holiday Cheer

One of the best things about this time of year is holiday get-togethers. It's so much fun to dress up and celebrate the season. This year A&T had a lovely Christmas party.

One of the guests made Cranberry Lime Champagne Cocktails. She added a little cranberry juice and some frozen cranberries to champagne, garnished with a lime and voila! It was a simple, fun and festive drink that everyone enjoyed.

Cranberries were also incorporated into the flower arrangements.

The Maryland Crab Balls were an absolute hit.

All decked out in our holiday gear.

The tree glittered and gleamed.

Have a safe and healthy New Years Eve...cheers!

Christmas Haul

JCW gave me a new camera in November and the excitement still hadn't worn off. I felt like I had already had a wonderful Christmas and it got even better when BLS gave me a new Hermes bangle.

Last year I bought JCW a quilted coat and he claimed he was between sizes but this year I took him to the store so there wouldn't be any discrepancies. I ended up getting a little treat myself...it was a Yoicks Christmas!

BLS surprised JCW by having his business school diploma framed and I found a print of the USS Constellation that I thought was just his style.

Our stockings were filled with favorites...one in particular was Rocking Chair Mix that we completely devoured.

Was Santa good to you?

Celebrating Christmas

On Christmas morning we headed out to my Aunt's farm for breakfast.

 Eggs Benedict

We came prepared to hit the fields.

 Sam & EAS

It was an entertaining Gator ride between the two dogs...there were lots of kisses and wagging tails.

I am going to need lots of practice in order to convince JCW I need my own shotgun.

JCW & EAS

We tried out JCW's grandfather's 22 caliber and it was a lot of fun to shoot.

After a quick shoe change we headed home.

Once again BLS out did herself with another beautiful tablescape.

For dinner JCW made Beef Burgundy with Gruyere Mashed Potatoes.

After dinner we opened gifts.

Special thanks to Aunt S & Uncle G for a wonderful breakfast and free rein over the Gator...we always have a blast on your farm! xx

3 Things

We spent the end of last week in NYC with JCW's family. I got to check out C. Wonder and picked up the tortoise bowl I had been eyeing.

I have already gotten a lot of use out of my Devon Baer plaid ruffle blouse and I am rather proud of myself for all of my re-wearing efforts.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching our favorite Christmas movies and getting some much needed relaxation.

What are you currently loving?

Bond Street Social

Last month we went to a new restaurant in Baltimore called Bond Street Social. It was great to see the restaurant and bar buzzing. The menu consists of small plates the chef refers to as "upscale comfort food", so we got to try lots of different dishes.

EAS & A

Whenever I wear my Elizabeth McKay red elephant shirt I have to be prepared to attract Alabama fans. I met someone from Alabama that night and we exchanged a Roll Tide.

I started out with a Grilled Pineapple Mojito and then played it safe with champagne for the rest of the evening. A was a huge fan of their Liquid Nitrogen Martinis.

I have never met a Lobster Roll I didn't like so I had to try their version when I saw it on the menu.

Clam Capellini

The Grilled Cheese with Smoked Bacon was one of our favorites.

Bond Street Social had a great energy and I loved the cozy atmosphere of fire places and dark wood. I am excited to go back and try their brunch.
