2011 USS Constellation Cup

JCW raced in the USS Constellation Cup again this year and I was ready for the after party with bells on.

It was a beautiful night at the inner harbor.

Before we boarded the USS Constellation we enjoyed oysters on the pier.

Painkillers and Dark 'n' Stormies were two of the signature drinks and they happen to be my very favorite cocktails.

EAS & JCW

Absolutely Perfect Catering did a phenomenal job. There were plenty of hors d’oeuvres but the Deconstructed French Onion Soup with grilled Gruyere & caramelized onion Paninis were totally blog worthy.

The band kept us entertained throughout the evening.

Looks like a boat load of food & fun! EAS & JCW, I'm amazed at your social calendar!
I remember as a child my father who was at that time, serving as a Naval Reserve Chaplain who's duty station was next to Fort McHenry had the privilege of giving the prayer at the first dedication of the USS Constellation restoration back in the early 60's.

Sounds like a fun night, love the sound of that French Onion Soup and Panini combo. You posted a recipe for Painkillers recently, so I tried them out for the first time this weekend and made a batch for my sister's birthday. We all agreed they were delicious (and slightly dangerous...)! Thanks for another great suggestion :-)

I LOVE to eat and I never use to gain weight because I was always working out. Since I haven’t been working out as regularly I have definitely put on some unwanted lbs! I am hoping to figure out my allergy issues and get back to running! xx

So sorry I missed that party. A lot of our friends were racing, including our pals on Willow, which for the 2nd year in a row had a knockdown.
