Holiday Mail

It's the most wonderful time of the year for mail! Evey single card I have received has put a smile on my face.

Holiday Decorating

It's always so much fun pulling out my Christmas decor for the holidays. I just can't get enough of this Stag Head Bottle Stopper that my mom gave me a few years ago.

I have been enjoying a lovely Radebaugh's poinsettia which was a gift from a friend.

For this year's tree I decided to mix in more colors instead of just using my standard gold. I am currently on the quest from more ornaments.

Have you added any new finds to your holiday decor this year?

Trending

I can't get enough of Bravo's Million Dollar Decorators. I never want to the season to end. Did you see this week's episode? I fully agree with Martyn when it comes to removing the stickers from your fruit.

I have been admiring the Birkin bags on The Real Real. The Real Real is a high-end online consignment shop where the red soles may be slightly worn but they can be up to 90% off retail.

Dry Bar is a salon that specializes in blow outs. You can also purchase gift certificates (shaped like coasters) as holiday gifts. I am dying to visit Dry Bar but the closest one is a bit of a hike in Bethesda, MD...please come to Baltimore!

Carpetbeggers

This Fall Carpetbeggers in Reisterstown, Maryland had a Persian Rug Sale. There were two warehouses, one filled with beautiful rugs and another with antique Chinese furniture.

It's always more fun to shop when there's a tailgate.

They say the first thing you are suppose to buy for a room is the rug...now you know what my focus has been with the new house. The warehouses are only open by appointment. Call 443-835-3905 to schedule an appointment and let me know what you find.

Warby Parker

I stayed next to the Warby Parker Annex in the West Village over Thanksgiving and got to take a quick loop around the buzzing store to check out their frames. The price points are beyond fabulous and there were tons of styles that I could see myself wearing. They will even ship five frames to your home for free so you can decide which pair(s) work best.

For every pair that they sell, they give a pair to someone in need.

Here are a few of my favorites...

 Thatcher

Warby Parker is certainly a company that I could stand behind. They even offer e-Gift Cards for those last minute gifts.

Sagamore Racing

Sagamore Farm was purchased by Kevin Plank, CEO of Under Armour in 2007. His goal was to keep the tradition of thoroughbred racing alive in Maryland.

The farm was founded in 1925 and owned by the Vanderbilts.

Sagamore was home to the legendary horse Native Dancer who won the Preakness and Belmont Stakes races in 1953.

Native Dancer 's grooming trunk still sits outside of his stall.

You can even pay your respects in the graveyard.

The track was constructed in 1926 and renovated in 2009.

If you take a close look at the footing you will see bits of recycled Under Armour fabric.

Be sure to join the Three Diamond Club if you are interested in being notified of any upcoming farm tours.

Special thanks to Randy Lewis for such a great tour filled with lush scenery and captivating stories.

Unreal Candy

The first time I tried Unreal candy was right after Halloween and I was kicking myself for not handing it out to the kiddos in my neighborhood.

I am all for candy that's been unjunked and so far my favorite are the M&Ms...I mean Candy Coated Chocolates. Look for Unreal candy next time you are at Target or Michael's and let me know what you think.
