Horse Country

Over the Thanksgiving holiday my dear friend Char stopped in Maryland on her way down to Florida. We spent an afternoon hanging out on her family farm...it was just like old times.

"Yoicks!"

Yoicks: used as a cry of encouragement to foxhounds.
Yoicks is a store located in Stevenson, MD that carries fine sporting art, country clothing & gifts. The store is jam-packed with what I like to call organized clutter and sure to fulfill your equestrian heart's desires.

The store's website is still in works but check out their Facebook page or give them a call 410-486-8377 with any questions. Visiting Yoicks is well worth a trip to the country.

His & Hers Gift List

Last year I did a whole weeks worth of gift ideas but this year I decided to focus on a few favorites like this Leather Cooler from Orvis. This might be the end-all be-all of coolers. Can you picture this in the back of a vintage car at a tailgate? It's definitely a gift for the person who has everything.

Enamel Bangle, Hermes

Gingham Shirt, Ledbury

The Soul of a House, Amazon

Daysailer Duffel, Social Primer for W Durable Goods

Berkshire Jowciale, Surry Farms

Thinfold Wallet, Orvis

Mortar and Pestle, Williams Sonoma

Barrow Street Bon Shopper, Kate Spade
There is even a Baby Bag version that would be perfect for my friend MBW!

Cake Pop Maker, Babycakes

The winner of my Ornament Giveaway from the Dahl House is Belle on Heels!

Hemingway's

On the way back from the Waterfowl Festival we stopped at Hemingway's on Kent Island.

I had driven past the restaurant many times but never stopped in. It's on your right after you across the Bay Bridge when heading to the Eastern Shore and would make a perfect stop after a day at the Queenstown Outlets.

The decor is all nautical.

There are spectacular views from the restaurant, deck and patio.

The deck and patio are a great place to watch boats dock and planes land and I am sure it's even better in season.

I ordered the Crab and Spinach Dip.

JCW had the Shrimp and Oyster Po Boy.
