Bittersweet

Last Friday Alice from Summer is a Verb posted that CK Bradley is going to be closing its doors come November.

I guess this is goodbye to receiving my CKB goodies in the mail.

Farewell to having a place to turn when I am in need of a dress.

On a sweeter note the post also contained a chance to win the coveted Meg Carter "Big Pearl, little lapis" studs...and the earrings went to yours truly.

Special thanks to Alice and Meg Carter for lifting my spirits during the mourning of CKB. My vintage CKB designs will always be cherished and I will proudly wear my consolation studs. xx

She made the most beautiful dresses!

It is sad about CKB. Tough times and difficult decisions for many seem to be all around us!
Love your winning pearls!
Carry on!

Such sad news. So many wonderful designers are having to deal with such challenging times for their small businesses.

Hope we all get to share in the future creative endeavors!

Ohh....sometimes endings can lead to better beginnings. I'm sure there will be someone to fill your dress void and CKB will find a new creative outlet. Still hard though!
