- I simply adore the American flag and I am constantly inspired by my surroundings. I love wearing anything with ruffles. I have a special place in my heart for animals and the water. I cherish photography and sculpture. I believe in fate. Summer is my favorite time of year. I like smelling cinnamon buns. I can’t live without back-rubs, online shopping, heating blankets, pink nail polish, plaid and hydrangeas. I get excited before a storm. There should be more random acts of kindness. I love antiques and decorating. I mostly wear flats. Anything seersucker is adorable. I will never get sick of eating tomato mozzarella. The best thing about the beach is outdoor showers and eating candy. All pools should be heated. -EAS

I think I posted this before, but we get invited to events that say "Annapolis Formal" and "Annapolis Casual"....Basically means no socks :)
I think guys should always go sockless in their topsiders!
I don't think I have ever worn socks with my Sperrys!
My Sperrys are black and brown loafers. They are without a doubt the most comfortable shoes I own. Even at my advanced age I never wear socks with them.
Topsiders are meant to be wore without socks. Period. I personally prefer guys to go sockless with most loafers, unless it is a semi-formal/formal event.
I usually wear socks with mine when its winter but then I bought a faux fur lined pair that I never need socks with! I lurve them!!!
I was just thinking yesterday that I need a new pair...oh I can't wait to ditch my socks!
I must confess to wearing mine with socks in the winter, but I go sockless the rest of the year.
My Hubby tends to - it must be a preppy boy thing. :) But, I'm more than ready to say goodbye to socks, have a pedi and enjoy the warm weather!
I almost never wear socks... usually the only time I'm in socks is when I'm working out or wearing boots. So excited for spring!
The only time I EVER don socks are with boots and running shoes. I don't think I've worn socks with regular shoes since my grade school uniform days at St. Franny...XXOO
I'll wear socks with them on the rare occasion that I wear them with long pants. That is, long pants that aren't reds.
I can't wear socks with mine! I just won't do it!
@JMW - Come have a look at the banner art on my blog, which I scanned from my 1984 high school yearbook. All were girls, and all with socks. Granted, it was the 80s, and we weren't in a sea-faring community, but it's how the precedent got established! :)
Topsiders should definitely be worn without socks - winter or summer!

Yes
I prefer to wear black ankle socks with shorts and topsiders or mocs - loafers. They are very comfy.
Maybe I'm just european and here socks are part of the look, more than there :).
