Easter Blooms

After Easter brunch we visited Sherwood Gardens. Sherwood Gardens is the most famous tulip garden in North America.

The garden is filled with different varieties of tulips and roughly 80,000 bulbs are planted annually.

We were fortunate that the down pour held out until after we left. I guess it's true what they say...“April showers bring May flowers”.

So pretty. But I wish you posted this yesterday. ;-) I was at Union Memorial and I think Sherwood Gardens is just up St. Paul St. from the hospital.
And what do May flowers bring? Pilgrims. Another patient I met at hand therapy last month told me that joke and I've been giggling ever since.

It's a shame they don't last longer...

Gorgeous flowers! My favorite are the last ones. The color is such an intense, deep pink.

Tulips are only second to peonies on my favorite flower list :) I'm going to have to visit Sherwood Gardens soon before they stop blooming! Glad that you had a nice Easter :)

Do you mind if I include this in a new thing I'm trying out called Uniquely Your City? Anyone can enter their own post, but this is the perfect kind of post I am looking for about something to do in your own town. xo
