3 Things

As much as I enjoyed our Christmas tree and holiday décor, I am looking forward to taking everything down and not having to clean up tree needles anymore.

Not to toot my own horn but my present wrapping skills totally improved this season.

I am excited to ring in the New Year. 2013 was such an incredible year but I can't wait to see what 2014 brings. Have a Happy New Year and thanks for all of your support and encouragement. Cheers!

Popsations

Popsations is a local gourmet popcorn company, here in Maryland. All of the flavors of caramel popcorn are gluten free. I couldn't stop eating the Chocolate Drizzle. The Crabby Caramel is flavored with Old Bay and apparently very similar to a flavor of ice cream at The Charmery.

I love the Maryland themed gift tins and ribbon packaging. The popcorn would make such fun hostess gifts!

Popsations also customizes bags for weddings, showers or parties. You can order the caramel popcorn online or find it at your local stores.

Oh Christmas Tree

After seeing all of the Christmas decorations in NYC, I couldn't wait to get back to Maryland and cut down our Christmas tree. We headed to Mt. Carmel Tree Farm in search of a Fraser Fir.

 ESW & JCW

We took a lap around the farm before settling on a tree.

After cutting down our tree, we waited for the tractor & wagon to pick us up. It's such a treat having the smell of a fresh cut tree fill the house.

Mt. Vernon Club

For work, I packed up some of our Estate Handbags and headed to a shopping bazaar at the Mt. Vernon Club.

Our LV accessories were the hit of the day.

It was fun to see familiar faces like The Quinntessential Gentleman...

and meet some new folks, Muffy Writes a Note.

Katie from Star Monograms looked adorable in her Sail to Sable tunic as we waited for our cars.

Holiday House NYC

When we were in NYC, I toured the Holiday House with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. The showhouse benefited the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

It was very clear which house on 63rd St. was the Holiday House because of all the holiday décor.

On the first floor we had the pleasure of meeting Patrik Lonn from Patrik Lonn Design. I loved everything about his room from the bar cart, plaid pillows and Hermes ashtray.

Every room had a different theme whether it was celebrating a holiday or hosting an anniversary party.

The house was very festive and made me eager to start holiday decorating.

I highly suggest touring the Holiday House if you're in NYC, it's open until December 18th.

Thanksgiving Weekend

We made it to NYC for a lovely dinner with JCW's family.

While our niece and nephew ice skated at The Standard we took full advantage of the heaters and Après-Skate menu.

I had the most delicious white hot chocolate.

We walked the High Line, which was just what I needed after all the decadent meals.

The city was buzzing with holiday spirit and Christmas was in the air.
