Elbow-Patch Sweater

When J.Crew's Elbow-Patch sweater was a new arrival my size sold out in a matter of days. There was a sweater re-up so I didn't take any chances and ordered both an XS and an XXS. I have never worn an XXS before but just last week I received the Cambridge Cable in my usual XS and it was way too big. It's funny because I wear an S in the Tippi sweater. Have you found J.Crew's sizes to be inconsistent lately?

I have found the same thing with J Crew and I am also wearing a smaller size in Talbots this year as well. It's funny how sizes change over the years. I have Lilly dresses that are 10 years old in a size 4 that still fit, but today I wear a Lilly 6.

Love this sweater and got one they run big and yes there sizes are very inconsistent to me, not just lately but in general...the manager at my local store tells me that is the number one thing she hears over and over..hope they are paying attention!

I've found that with tops lately there too! I normally wear a small or a medium in the tops, but I've had to get xs because they've been too boxy.

I tried this on in the store and it was too big and too long. J. McLauchlan has a WAYYYYYY better version called the Hanover. It's not itchy like this one is. I bought 3! Let me know what you think!

I also got an XS in this sweater and normally wear a S or M. I hate ho short it is in the front!

I agree with the sizes being inconsistent! I've been between a XS and S depending on the sweater! The elbow patch is my favorite this season though..I wear it constantly!

yes. even the shoes aren't fitting the same. the quality inconsistency is frustrating.

I order a size down and it is just perfect. Thanks for the tip!
