Rodgers' Farms

Last Sunday was absolutely beautiful so we stopped by Rodgers' Farms.
 

The pumpkin patch was still full of pumpkins.

We snapped a few pictures and decided to share the baby news.
 

It was fun seeing all the kiddos enjoying the corn maze and farm animals.

S'well Bottle

 

 

I just discovered S'well Bottles, they keep drinks cold for 24 hours and hot for 12. The opening is wide enough for ice cubes and they can even hold carbonation. They come in an 9oz, 17oz and 25oz size. The 25oz bottle will hold an entire bottle of wine.

Columbus Day Weekend

 

We traveled to Boston for the weekend to visit some dear friends who just relocated.  

We ventured to Woodman's in Essex on a rainy afternoon for lunch.

JCW was in heaven with all the delicious fried food and he may have even added the Woodman's cookbook to his wish list.

We had some great meals from No. 9 and Oleana but my favorite stop was Toscanini’s for ice cream.

After the rain stopped, the weather was beautiful so we did a little sightseeing at the Longfellow House.

Special thanks to the Talented Gallery Director and Sam's Good Meats for a wonderful weekend. Your new house looks great! It was also such a joy meeting MBW's new baby, Conner. xx

NYSD: Alex Papachristidis

I was completely captivated by New York Social Dairy's House feature on Alex Papachristidis's Upper East Side home.  

 

I love the decorative items in addition to all of the rich colors.

 

There are lots of bold patterns and unique collections.

 

After seeing this piece, I was thrilled to discover Alex Papachristidis's instagram feed and it quickly become one of my favorite sources of inspiration.

Fall Dinner

We had a little fall dinner party over the weekend. It was a great excuse to break out my Spode Woodlandplates, Glen Plaid Glasses and woven chargers from William Sonoma.

While I was setting the table, JCW was hard at work in the kitchen. He made Beef Bourguignon from a recipe he found in Cook's Illustrated. 

We ended the meal with a (light) dessert of Rum Cake & Berger Cookies. Hosting this dinner definitely put us in the mood for the upcoming holidays.

I was pretty impressed with the sweaters in L.L Bean's catalog...love this Bailey Island Crewneck. 

We watched Twenty Feet From Stardom as we nursed our fall colds, ugh. I've been really taking notice of background singers every time I hear music. 

I discovered Bottega Veneta's initials option on their website. 

Rowing Blazers

Rowing Blazers by Jack Carlson was recently released. This book was created by champion rower and Oxford scholar, Jack Carlson. The book showcases the bold blazers that were made for college rowing clubs along with the elite athletes and historic clubs associated with them. All of the photograph is by F.E. Castleberry. 

The book parties were held at various Ralph Lauren stores and the pictures can be found on the Rowing Blazers Facebook page.

 

This is going to make a fun to flip through coffee table book and my copy is already on order.
