Spade Abode

Andy and Kate Spade's home in NYC, November 21st 2010

These photographs were shot by Todd Selby and posted on his project The Selby. The Selby is a creative view inside inspiring individuals personal spaces. Browsing the website is pure pleasure or shall I say snooping around in stranger's homes is pure pleasure.

Kate Spade is my favorite. Of course her home is nothing short of lovely!

They do have such a fabulous home! I just adore round tables full of framed photos--my grandmother has two in her home and I just love the look as well as all of the memories that one table can hold. ;)

Oh wow ... what an amazing view into her life! Love the den shot with her sitting in the window seat. And I'm also loving the picture arrangements in the foyer with that great green chest and gold mirror.

I saw this on The Selby as well and couldn't get enough of it! Kate and Andy are too cool for school. :)

Who knew she collected match books (at least that's what it looks like from the picture), interesting. I hope you are staying warm in all this crazy cold weather!

Love the match book collection. According to Paul Fussell and his Living-Room Scale quiz in his "Class" book, the Spade's get to add 1 point for having a "container of matchbooks from funny or anomalous places". A lot of points for the silver frames, parquet floors, and....
Great pictures of the fab Spade Abode. Thanks for sharing.
