Bright New Day

Before hitting the streets in NYC we went up to the roof deck to check out the views in the daylight. JCW had been in Chicago earlier that week and he brought me back some gifts from the Chicago Yacht Club.

The hat was from the Race to Macinack's pre-race party he attended.

EAS & JCW

JCW and I each ventured off on our own for some exploring.

 Do you recognize this house?

Zitomer Pharmacy is remarkable...they don't sell walking sticks at my CVS.

I discovered Earnest Sewn in the Meatpacking District. The store is know for their denim but I fell in love with the rustic decor of worn leather, plaid touches, antique books and exposed brick.

Fun time! LOVE that you found the Novogratz house! I haven't been loving their new show as much as 9 by design, but I am giving it a chance!

I worked on Mackinac Island during the summers of '96 & '97. I don't think Veuve Clicquot was the sponser back then. I want to say it was Bacardi and Mount Gay Rum sponsored the Port Huron - Mackinac race.

I remember Novogratz's home when they featured it on the BRAVO series Nine by design! Showing there process of renovating an old run down building that use to be an adult bookstore. I think there goal initially was that they were going to flip the property and the recession put a halt to that idea. What an amazing design business! High & Low put together! Very creative. Not sure if want my home to look like the Whitney. In closing...JCW, Sail on Sailor!

Nice plug for the new Dom Perignon!

Veuve Clicquot: bubbly for the bourgeoisie.

It’s JCW’s sister’s glorious place. His brother-in-law designed the building and they were kind enough to let us use it! xx
