Come on Irene

I was fully prepared for Hurricane Irene...
    1.   Rain Gear
    2.   Gas
    3.   Groceries
    4.   Flash Light

JCW called off his plans to spend Saturday and Sunday in NYC.

We went over to A&T's and Maddie was so nervous about the storm all she could do was snack!

Our Eliza B. sandals were the perfect hurricane footwear.

JCW claimed he was hungry and needed Disco Fries around 11:00pm but I new his real motive was to check out the storm. I figured it was better to chase the storm with him then let him go alone.

EAS & JCW

There was hardly anyone on the road, the wind was blowing and we checked on water levels. I totally felt like Helen Hunt in Twister. Fortunately Irene didn't do as much damage as predicted and our only issue was a mere power loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone whom were greatly effected by the hurricane.

On another note...

That sweet puppy! I'm pretty sure my basset hound was clueless. As awlays she just slept, begged for belly rubs and asked for treats. I hope you're power is back on now!

Y'all are seriously so cute!!! We still don't have power but are checking into a hotel and feeling pretty blessed to have this luxury available to us. We went to the BEST hurricane party on Saturday night and walked through the wind that was ridiculous! Glad you are safe.

Thank you for having such an awesome giveaway! I am so excited I won! Yippeee!!!!

I would love the Pink Croc Embossed daybook. My email address is justanotherpreppyshopaholic AT gmail.com ...Thank you!!! Email me and I'll send your my address information! ;)

On a more serious note, I was thinking about all of you along during Irene! Yikes, what a mess! Remember how I told you about the Simon Pearce glass blowing factory and restuarant in Quechee, VT? I'm so happy to report it survived Irene! Can't believe all the destruction, good thing it was stronger than previously forecasted.

Thanks again!!! :) - PLD

Y'all are too cute ... I had my VV Nor'easter jacket all ready to weather the storm but it thankfully missed us here in Palm Beach! Glad she didn't hit you too hard!

We just got power back tonight in Richmond after losing it Saturday afternoon. You don't know what you have until it's gone!
