- I simply adore the American flag and I am constantly inspired by my surroundings. I love wearing anything with ruffles. I have a special place in my heart for animals and the water. I cherish photography and sculpture. I believe in fate. Summer is my favorite time of year. I like smelling cinnamon buns. I can’t live without back-rubs, online shopping, heating blankets, pink nail polish, plaid and hydrangeas. I get excited before a storm. There should be more random acts of kindness. I love antiques and decorating. I mostly wear flats. Anything seersucker is adorable. I will never get sick of eating tomato mozzarella. The best thing about the beach is outdoor showers and eating candy. All pools should be heated. -EAS

I found your blog over Christmas and have really enjoyed pouring over your posts. I'm a Southern gal born and raised, your blog really struck a chord for me in regards to tradition. You and yours really value them and make your own, which I think is something truly special. This particular post, though, I happen to agree with since my little boy's room is both a nod to his Southern heritage and a touch of horse & hound. We found a spectacular needlepoint pillow on Etsy with horses and hounds in the middle of a fox hunt. It reminds me so much of these pillows. If I find the link I'll pass it along since I know you'd appreciate it.

I love anything with horses! And if they can be needlepoint, even better! We havn't received much snow up my way (Southern Ontario) and its making me daydream about the horses races this Spring. Cant wait!! xoxo
