Summer Solstice

It's officially summer and today is the longest day of the year...which also happens to be my favorite day of the year. What do you have planned this summer?

What do I have planned for the summer??? To take one day at a time and enjoy every second. Take short day trips ... our next one [hopefully] will be to Longwood Gardens in PA and on those super-hot and humid days sew American Girl doll clothing for a fund raising auction to benefit research on health related issues of the west highland white terrier.

Happy Summer to you and yours,
Katie

Ahhh Summer... I think Summer is actually one of my least favorite seasons. I think growing up in Florida it was Summer all the time. Once I finally moved to a state with seasons, I actually enjoy those more! I think Fall is my fave! Anywho, we don't really have any summer plans yet... Quite depressing actually, but hopefully we plan something soon as our 4 year anniversary is in < 60 days! ESHK! xoxo

We plan to spend plenty of time at the pool, staying cool and cheering on the kids at swim meets. BTW, we had a layover in your town last week, on our way to and from the Outer Banks. I saw Pimlico from the airplane as well!

Packed and ready to leave for the beach tomorrow! Sun, sand, and silly times for over a month! I adore summer!

Tonight I will go to one of my fave local chain-y restaurants (Firebirds, at Short Pump Mall, it is pretty reliable) and sit outside and enjoy a margarita on the rocks. Hell, I live one day at a time, but I do have lots of wedding-related plans coming up for this summer!

I was saying the same thing yesterday! It's definitely my favorite day of the year too! Well... ok, so it's a tie between that and opening day of college football. But I love that it's light outside until like 9:15!!
