Roku

I am not sure how we survived before getting a Roku. It allows us to stream Netflix and Amazon Instant Video.

We just started the Season 2 of House of Cards, so we've been alternating between that and True Detective. With the snow and freezing temperatures this winter, it's been ideal for staying in and watching television.

True Detective is my favorite show on TV right now!

We have a Roku and an apple TV- they're basically the same thing. The Apple TV is a little easier to navigate but I still tend to like the Roku more. It's great! I am a marathon show watcher- I've never been one to sit down at 8pm every Monday to watch a show. I'd rather watch 36 hours of straight shows and see an entire season. :)
I cancelled our cable for a good year + but my fiance reconnected it for football season. Live sports are the only thing holding us back from being cable free!

Throw in the Olympics, and those 3 are the only things I've been watching! We recently picked up a Google Chromecast, which is great because I can queue up my Netflix selections right from my phone!

As someone else suggested, I think this is the same thing as Apple TV, which I had installed recently. It was really simple to install, much smaller and more elegant than Roku and coordinates perfectly with my iPad and iPhone, both of which I can now "mirror" onto my TV screen. We've been watching videos, tv shows and listening to iTunes through our TV. It's a terrific little invention!
