Annapolis Sailboat Show II

Pusser's had a stand at the Boat Show that sold Painkillers. Oh what fun it was to sip Painkillers on a beautiful day while looking at gorgeous sailboats.

2 oz Pusser's dark rum
4 oz pineapple juice
1 oz cream of coconut
1 oz orange juice
Serve on the rocks and grate fresh nutmeg on the top.

 Painkiller's come in three strengths.

Pusser's Rum

 EAS & JCW

A highlight for me was getting some new grocery bags.

JCW couldn't wait to check out the new Sperry Store that just opened in downtown Annapolis.

He picked up some new sailing shoes.

I was drawn to the metallic boat shoes but wasn't sure I could pull them off.

The last stop of the evening was the Federal House for crab dip and fish tacos.

Those drinks sound delicious, I'll have to try them out! Do you have any suggestions for breaking in TopSiders? I've had a couple pairs and always end up giving them away because they stay so stiff and hurt my feet! I love their potential though, so I keep trying... :-)

I have been debating the metallic boat shoes myself. I have a hard time straying from the classics but convinced a friend of mine who's never had a pair to get the gold and she looks great. I may have to try them!

Eek, I have to say I might be one of the only people that cannot stand painkillers. They were the VI and BVI and I none of us could get into them. Perhaps because they only had one strength...EXTRA STRONG!

I LOVE the metallic boat shoes and have the platinum. I got my monogrammed at the True PRep event last Fall. You need a pair, they would look great on you!

The only thing I can think of for breaking in Top-Siders is to get them wet. Unfortunately JCW has no trouble breaking in his...a little too fast for my liking! xx

Hopsy, I can’t believe you don’t like Painkillers!!! I guess if dark rum isn’t your thing you wouldn’t be a fan. I never think they taste strong enough masked by all that fruit juice! xx

Hmmm, may need an $8 one by the end of the day. :) I could spend a great deal of time in the Sperry shop, that's for sure.

Get the metallic ones, but go to DSW - they are a little cheaper :) I didn't think I could pull them off either, now I live in them.

Looks like so much fun! I wish it was still warm :(

I'm not sure I can do the metallic shoes either. I'm possibly too much of a Sperry traditionalist.

You're making me homesick. Right during the holiday/oyster season too :(

ps...you could most def pull the metallics off. In fact, the would've been perf with the outfit you're sporting. I saw a cute preppy girl wearing them as rain shoes on Mad Ave a couple of years ago and was immediately sold!

You would definitely be able to do the metallics, absolutely. Me? No way, but you, yes. Love seeing Pusser's, always lots of fond memories of their St. John shop.

Have a great Friday and even better weekend!

I never thought I could pull off the metallic Sperry's either, and then I finally caved and got them (a year ago). Now I can't picture life without them! They are my go-to, throw-on, anytime, anywhere shoe!

My sister and her fiance live in DC and love going to Annapolis -- it looks beautiful! And they go to Pusser's every trip for a painkiller! You can definitely pull off the metallic Sperry's. My roomie has a gold pair and they are her go-to pair, she loves them! :)
