Allergies...they 're back

This time last week I was recovering from an allergy attack. The night before I was running on a treadmill at the gym and it became very difficult to even finish a mile. My first thought was that I must be out of shape and later I realized that something just wasn’t right. My eyes were blood shot and then they began swelling. I immediately knew I was having an allergy attack. I popped an Allegra and called my doctor.

JCW was in class so my mom came and whisked me away to Patient First. My mom always finds a way to make me laugh even if it’s totally inappropriate.

My doctor was able to access my allergist records and order lab work that could potentially help determine the cause of these attacks. The folks at Patient First weren’t able to draw my blood. Sometimes it can be rather difficult to find my veins. They tried compresses and massaging my arms but ended up turning me away.

Kiehl's Avocado Eye Cream allowed me to return to public a little less puffy.

It has been a year and a month since my last attack and I thought they had gone away for good. I am going to stay positive and pray that this doesn't become a pattern. It would be a lot easier to digest if the cause of these attacks was determined. If I have another one it better be during business hours....it would make things a lot easier.

Special thanks to my mom for coming to my rescue and keeping me highly entertained. Your support means to world to me and I am glad you didn’t pass out during the trial and error attempts at drawling blood. xx

Mom's are the best in these situations! Glad you are feeling better and interested to see what the doc says about the cause.

No matter what age we are, we always need our moms, don't we? My mom came to the rescue last night as I dealt with a bad cold, kids who needed to be fed and a husband out of town on business. Hope you get to feeling better.

Unknown allergies can be so baffling sometimes, my husband is a sufferer as well.
Glad to hear you are feeling better!
Aren't moms just the best (that's what I tell my children all the time!!)

I got hives every single day of kindergarten. We went to 4 different allergists and no one could figure it out. But one day they just went away, and I've never had them sense. Maybe your allergies will be a fluke like mine, and this is your last problem! Glad you're doing better!
